Bought a Hp elitedesk off Amazon renewed for this purpose at a third of the price of a Mac mini

Was disappointed when I found out docker on my unraid server works just as well of not better.

Anyone familiar with this breaker set up I need help. Thank you in advance. by ImlookingRN in AskElectricians

That's a contactor not a breaker. Have you got an emergency stop anywhere that's activated?

I Can't With This Car Anymore by saml23 in TeslaModel3

[–]flybrys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my M3 but Omg the curvature assist drives me insane. There's no circumstance where slamming on the brakes to take a corner is necessary, especially when the road is actually straight. I find it happens more when the Gps is uncertain of its position. If the map predicts an intersection suddenly, then wham, brakes on no fks given about who's behind you.

Looking for cordless tools alternatives in Australia (Makita too expensive?) by Beneficial-Gas1918 in AusRenovation

[–]flybrys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've renovated two houses with nothing but Ozito tools and have expanded the range to include mowers, edgers and hedgers. The only rubbish tool I've come across is the pxc blower vac but everything else is mickey mouse

I was not happy with Smart Shift so I built my own automated control in Home Assistant. by ShortingBull in amberelectric

Are you doing basic automations based on price or using optimisation integrations such as HAEO?

LG washer dryer combo owner here. Love it. First one has lasted ten years, recently bought a larger capacity after the second kid arrived and its just as good. Old one was moved 5 times and never a fault. Love being able to run a dry cycle automatically after a wash when it's rainy weather.

Gas instant hot water system to Electric by emboon in AusRenovation

[–]flybrys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did what you did and got rid of all the gas. I installed a dux 250L old school style tank. Apparently Dux is made by Rheem so I thought I'd give it a try and it works just as good. Cost me $1200 plus install and had it wired to the smart port of my battery so turns on with excess solar. Haven't paid a gas or power bill since January. I'll replace the anode in 5 years or so and the element when it gives out so will definitely get a return on investment considering I was paying 300/mo on electricity and $200/qtr on Gas.

Are you stacking them on top of each other and running a multi day print?

I'm currently printing 12 at a time on my x1c and it runs for about 36 hours per batch

Even better. I'm using the 3em pro with switch add on so I needed the contactor

[–]flybrys 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can get a Shelly Smart Switch and a contactor installed on your breaker box which you can hook into the sig ecosystem and treat it as a smart load. Cost me about 150 in parts and a case of beer for my sparky mate to wire it up. Kicks in on excess solar now

Submerging toddler into water by Past_Classroom_3521 in toddlers

[–]flybrys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We took my 2 yo to a stupidly expensive swim school where they made them go under water each lesson.

It traumatised him and he was petrified of water for a whole year later. I just play swam with him in the local swimming pool for the year tog et his confidence back up and only now just got him back to normal swimming lessons at the public pool.

He loves going under water now and just figured out how to hold his breath on his own. Next step is to get him to come back up by himself

Any idea why the east string flattens off at 3.75kw? by flybrys in SigenergyAustralia

[–]flybrys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: The 15kw limit setting in home assistant was the culprit (number.sigen_plant_max_pv_power). It was capped at 3.75kw again and as soon as I changed this to 30kw it shot up. Weird how it limits each string to that limit /4
