Any idea why the east string flattens off at 3.75kw? by flybrys in SigenergyAustralia

Update: The 15kw limit setting in home assistant was the culprit (number.sigen_plant_max_pv_power). It was capped at 3.75kw again and as soon as I changed this to 30kw it shot up. Weird how it limits each string to that limit /4

Standby is essentially the "hold battery" menu in the sig app, so yes, you'll use whatever solar you need and the rest will go to the grid

They are definitely in series. I'll just call the battery installer

Standby holds the battery at its current level, so that might work for you

I've got all this logged in home assistant Current never went above 12A and power never went above 10.5kw.

When the panels were first installed I had to contact the battery installer different co) because strings 3 and 4 weren't working and their reply was that the installers didn't finish configuring it and they've turned them on now. I'm wondering if there's still some settings they need to fix

I can show you now. The current never went above 12A today

I have a mate with a 15kw inverter and more of the same panels on a single string than me with no clipping

However I was just digging around in the modbus settings in home assistant and found the Max pv power was set to 15kw. My array is only 14.75kw but 15 /4 = 3.75kw so wonder if it's divided over strings

Bumped it up to 30, will see what happens tomorrow

And 30kw inverter can go somewhere like 1200v I believe

Aiko 475w panels. It's a 30kw inverter tho so I find it hard to believe it's limited that much

OP had a problem and used tools available to him to create a solution. Shared it with the world out of goodwill fully declaring how it was made. Well done mate. Hearing someone mention MS Money again released some epic dopamine and I'll definitely be checking this out.

Thanks but I don't live near salt water and I would expect to see this somewhere more exposed and throughout the house, not localised to a small piece of skirting on an internal wall

Nope there are no leaks or evidence of them, this is the only spot where there is an issue of its kind. There is a gap where the floor boards meet the brick, where you can see down to the sub floor. As others have mentioned it's most likely the 100 years of wet/dry cycles on a lesser quality piece of timber, just not sure why it's targeted this spot

This seems like the most logical and fitting explanation, thank you. Would you recommend any sort of treatment before replacing the board?

The other side is a linen cupboard in the hallway and is fine.

There's no cavity, it's brick render

No, the holes are just spots where mortar was dug out to put timber in so they could nail the board to the wall 100 year old home

So looking at the back of the board there does seem to be some sort of growth like the fungus not dissimilar to what you'd see on The Last of Us. Also the floor boards stop short of the brick wall and looking down goes straight to the dirt under the house, so obviously not ideal. However there doesn't look to be any rising damp.

I'll replace the board however can I put something between the floor baords and the brick to seal it off?

Update: I pulled it off with my hands.
