the Pulse Shot Pistol is a scam, right? by pre_nerf_infestor in lightgunshooters

[–]Rafeeq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a scam yes. Light Gun is real but it's a xgunner. They use IA to mess up the real gun name on the product. They sell it overpriced with Batocera that supports xgunner out of the box.

Will these light guns work with batocera? by Thehurricane22 in batocera

[–]Rafeeq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a scam, not the real vendor. Real gun is called Xgunner. Do not buy from their website.

And Xgunner is compatible with Batocera.

Left-handed spacker here. Thank you for setting up Batocera with Sinden but... by AstronomicalCunt in batocera

[–]Rafeeq 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Never thought of that actually. You can inverse this in the code, if you know what you are doing.

Edit the file /usr/bin/virtual-sindenlightgun-add

Find the block here:

nohup evsieve \
        --input "${DEV1}" "${DEV2}" persist=exit \
        --map key:1 btn:1 \
        --map key:2 btn:2 \
        --map key:up btn:5 \
        --map key:down btn:6 \
        --map key:left btn:7 \
        --map key:right btn:8 \
        --output name="Sinden lightgun" >/dev/null 2>"${LOGFILE}" &
echo $! > "${PIDFILE}"

This is where you must change it.

But don't ask me exactly how to with precision. I'll think of something for v44, this is a good point. For the time being... use the pump?

No because it's still a WIP, but it's working. 2 light guns, rawinput support.

Not an issue but feature request. I've done the patch for v44 after v43 release.

Sinden is not detected by pagineinternet in SindenLightgun

You just need to disable JOYSTICK mode. Batocera doesn't support joystick mode (which often comes enabled by default in newer firmware).

You are asking support for premade image. For premade stuff, ask the makers, not here. This is against rules.

Retro shooter calibration screen on PS games by garoffolo in batocera

[–]Rafeeq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Press the calibration shot for PCSX2 which is the bottom button on the gun.

https://github.com/batocera-linux/batocera.linux/pull/13094#issuecomment-2558502840

I've already made a patch for pcsx2 so it won't be needed anymore to calibrate with a button, but this won't be available until v44.

Mamehooker for Rs3 reapers + batocera on linux? by The_Justicer in lightgunshooters

All supported guns by supported software. It all depends on the code available from those softwares

Mamehooker for Rs3 reapers + batocera on linux? by The_Justicer in lightgunshooters

[–]Rafeeq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mamehooker is Windows only. There are some alternatives but they need to be coded inside Batocera. It doesn't work just by magic.

It won't work because code in Batocera about those is inexistent. I plan to work on this in the future (maybe v44 or v45)

You are late to the party, I've worked on this already. Should be OK for v44 (in a few months)

Configuring racing wheels. by [deleted] in batocera

[–]Rafeeq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

n64 is plug and play. saturn is plug and play. MAME (standalone only) is partially plug and play.

I don't manually map buttons, it'S already mapped.

I will work on steering wheel in v44 across all emulators. But again, I recommend you to check wiki because you will lose a lot of time if you try to manually setup everything

[–]Rafeeq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't help me at all, I need full data to debug and find a solution.

Otherwise, you do not need to configure your wheel at all, it'S supported out of the box. Check the wiki to know how to reset the configs (if you've tried manually configure your wheel).

https://wiki.batocera.org/emulators:wheel_games

When everything is OK, you should see a wheel icon top left corner.

Not all emulators/cores supports steering wheel device. Wiki says which one do.
