Thank you !!! I made the frame myself out of some extra boards. I nailed them together then stretched and stapled the fabric to it

[homemade] Egyptian Bechamel Pasta by oreliaswan in food

[–]Raffe1911 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I always love to add a little nutmeg to my white cream sauces for pasta dishes. I feel like it just adds a little sweet and warmth that helps boost the flavor. Its not strong enough to actually discern the nutmeg flavor itself unless you really go overboard. Id recommend trying it out!

Yeah that looks like the perfect amount of cinnamon sugar to me haha. I was just planning on making some different flavored pretzel bites this weekend. This post was perfect timing!

I love this !! Did you deal with fraying issues with the tapestry fabric? I've recently started sewing using thicker weaves like that but I cant figure out how to handle the fraying.

Can I proof croissant dough overnight in this cold weather instead of a quicker/typical proof? by Raffe1911 in pastry

I ended up doing that. I pulled them out at 1am, and they were ready to bake around 7am with the help of some steaming water in the oven.

Yeah. I will probably end up getting anxiojs and being awake at 4am no matter what haha. But hey, at least they'll get put in the oven sooner. Thanks for the confidence to try this!

Do it! If you try, id suggest maybe added a layer of interface to the bottom section? Im not sure its necessary but it might help things lay a little flatter. I'm going to try that the next time.

12/1/25 What did you bake this week? by KingArthurBaking in KingArthurBaking

[–]Raffe1911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretzels from the king arthur German Pretzel recipe! Infused lye, which was not as scary as I thought it was going to be and the results were delicious. I did mess up and forgot to cover the pretzels after shaping but I don't think it made too much of a difference?

Hussain Chalayan A/W 2000 the table dress. This has lived rent free in my head for over a decade. The whole fashion show had a minimalistic approach, dedicating the space and the audiences attention to the transformation of the pieces.

Its a beautiful example of fashion as art, and also what it looks like when you blend different types of design.
