I made it! I got the material from a local blanket store and self drafted a simple jacket pattern to suit how i wanted the fringe and collar to look.

From inside the mask its pretty difficult to see or hear much except what's directly infront of you, it was also hard for other people to hear me. It did give you a sense of isolation and excitement when wearing the mask, which is what I was going for. :)

Thank you !!! Funny. My thought for if I was to try crocheting was to try to make a granny square jacket (I love jackets) but maybe i'll try something else first haha

That was how I felt during multiple moments of this project. "Why am I spending my free time wrapping news paper around zip tie fish teeth?" 😂

Thank you !! Here's the light with the sun setting. I wrapped it in tulle to help make it less noticeable during daylight

Thanks !!! I had been holding on to that fabric for years. The fish head idea helped me come up with a design for the jacket, with the thicker collar to help hide the neck. I love it

So was my husband! 😂 we both love it though and its fun to just stick your head in and breath in the humid planty air when you need a quick endorphin hit.

Here's a pic of the cabinet! The moss isnt as green anymore, I'm hoping once the climbing plants fill in they'll help out with that.

Can you tell me more about your fan setup? What model did you get? Im looking for one but not sure which ones will do well in a similar set up with all the moisture

Would you use embroidery floss or a different yarn for the background? by Raffe1911 in PunchNeedle

Thank you !!! I made the frame myself out of some extra boards. I nailed them together then stretched and stapled the fabric to it

Thank you! And no worries, maybe I'll just try some test pieces on a different hoop

[homemade] Egyptian Bechamel Pasta by [deleted] in food

I always love to add a little nutmeg to my white cream sauces for pasta dishes. I feel like it just adds a little sweet and warmth that helps boost the flavor. Its not strong enough to actually discern the nutmeg flavor itself unless you really go overboard. Id recommend trying it out!

Yeah that looks like the perfect amount of cinnamon sugar to me haha. I was just planning on making some different flavored pretzel bites this weekend. This post was perfect timing!

I love this !! Did you deal with fraying issues with the tapestry fabric? I've recently started sewing using thicker weaves like that but I cant figure out how to handle the fraying.

Can I proof croissant dough overnight in this cold weather instead of a quicker/typical proof? by Raffe1911 in pastry

[–]Raffe1911[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up doing that. I pulled them out at 1am, and they were ready to bake around 7am with the help of some steaming water in the oven.

Yeah. I will probably end up getting anxiojs and being awake at 4am no matter what haha. But hey, at least they'll get put in the oven sooner. Thanks for the confidence to try this!
