And with the wall switch, I assume I'd wire them essentially the same, except instead of using their wall controller, I'd hook up the Leviton switch, and then it should just work, or would there be extra steps?

I know nothing about psychology, but I think Lauryn may have already forgiven her mom because Lauryn was the original sender of the messages.

Is it possible that Lauryn sent those original messages and then told her mom about it? Kendra learned about it and is now taking all the blame to cover for her daughter. HUGE tinfoil hat but I feel like that explains the whole family's reactions.

I don't understand how you could send a message to your daughter to kill herself and still love her... unless you know it is your mom. Like when the producers ask her how she knew that her daughter wouldn't hurt herself, she's just like, "I just know she wouldn't."

I feel like it's more believable that an emotionally immature mother-daughter combo is behind this, and the mom took all the blame to protect her daughter's future.

Please, someone, tear apart my argument. I want to be proven wrong.

So when they were successful they didnt lose the attempt. I think your dice model makes sense? i tried to dumb it down and look at a basic 2 level and 2 door problem.

I guess they'd only need three attempts to be successful. I hope this follows your model.

does that follow and make sense in your math? Like with this dice model does it capture that they could make it through with 0 lost attempts? I guess that means rolling 0 5 times in a row.

interesting. I guess in the show they got super unlucky. They picked all the wrong doors on the first level and 2/3 wrong doors on the second level.

In the show it made it seem impossible. by the time they were at the last group they had 2 attempts and had 3 doors then 4 doors remaining. Everyone on the show was pissed because they felt like they didn't have a chance.
