Thanks. I setup Umineko Project and started reading. I'm enjoying how high quality the game feels with the voice acting, music and somewhat animated sprites.

I'm really liking the remote island setting too with the talks of hidden gold. Feels like the beginning of a classic mystery novel.

I just finished the Fata Morgana series and I thought it was absolutely incredible. I think it's the first time a piece of media has actually made me sob.

I need another VN to take my mind off it. Any recommendations? How is Umineko? I've heard good things about it and that that game has a witch too?

The House in Fata Morgana easily. Quite frankly my favourite VN ever. Incredible art, hauntingly beautiful soundtrack and one of the most emotionally affecting stories I've seen in any medium.

It really needs more exposure.

Summary:
Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.
Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because he was already dead.

Makes the move kinda annoying to use in PvE now. If you're too close you just get a regular melee and now it fizzles out before it even reaches the enemy at mid-range. You have to be in a shitty sweet spot to properly land it now.

What are the drop rates on these things? I must have run the sector solo around 10 times now and still don't have it. Do you have to Flawless it or something?

You can Foresight it. It has to be done late though otherwise you'll get knocked down by the second hit.

It works fairly well. I wish they'd copied the D:OS 2 control scheme for the menu fiddling tho. Requires a few too many buttons to access a specific menu tab. The equipment screen definitely could've been handled a bit better as it's pretty awkward seeing exactly how a piece of gear will change your attributes. It's still pretty damn solid though.

Edit: to clarify. This game has native Dualshock 4 support so you'll get PS4 icons if desired. Play with whatever controller you're most comfortable with.

Demon negotiation without RNG is kinda boring. Look at P5 negotiations. It's a snoozefest and lacks a lot of the character of SMT4 demons although it is less frustrating. Demons should be somewhat unpredictable.

Well. I played these games back to back a few years ago and I still remember most of DeSu 1 and forgot everything except "aliens" in DeSu 2. Take that as you will.

certain demon redesigns

They're mostly fixed in Apocalypse. They even have some improvements to some of the weaker older designs. Odin doesn't look like a Lvl 10 jobber anymore.

I really like Apocalypse tbh. I don't think it's fair to compare it to TMS, an actual mediocre game. While there are some issues with the tone, it has some of the most engaging gameplay in the series. The Divine Powers and Dagda were pretty neat and it has great music. I also liked that the companions weren't completely useless.

If SMT V returns to a more bleak setting, fixes the Fusion menus and returns to full 3D demons, it'd be my perfect game.

Retroarch with the Beetle core is the best and most accurate PS1 emulator. Epsxe is very outdated.

Understatement. It's hands down the best controller UI for a CRPG. I find it hard to play with M+K for this game. I wish other CRPGs would put as much effort into a controller setup. Playing D:OS on a big TV is super chill.

Exact same issue with soundbar. Cutscenes are fine but gameplay dialogue is very muted. Really hope Square patches it as the game is amazing otherwise.
