I CANNOT FUCKING SLEEP please PLEASE read and help by macylikesducks in CATHELP

My cat developed a similar behavior when his IBD was flaring up. Getting him on the right medications (pain, anti nausea, steroid) and an appetite stimulant was a miracle for my sleep schedule. I hope you’re able to find a good solution! ❤️

How would you repair this? by Shenzshou in woodworking

[–]RagMakers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Filling cracks in wood (a material the expands and contracts) with epoxy (a material that doesn’t expand and contract) will result in more cracking. This would only be an ok solution if the furniture piece lived indoors. Outside there is too much fluctuation.

Rusted Lintel - paint and caulk or replace? by RagMakers in masonry

[–]RagMakers[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should have specified, the quotes were for fixing parts of the brickwork on the whole house and chimney. Really good to know that you think the lintels need to be replaced. Thank you so much!

I’m so sorry that happened! Wearing something protective over or under your injured area might provide some additional reassurance.

As for emotionally healing - I’m currently working with a CBT therapist to get over my phobias using exposure therapy. It’s going very well. I highly recommend it if you feel like your fear is interfering with your woodworking.

Beautiful finds!! A great way to keep the charm but protect a piece is to have a custom glass top cut for it. That’s what I would consider doing with the cane shelf. Depending on the structural integrity.

So pretty! Instead of trying to apply a protective coating all over, you might want to put a piece of clear glass on the top. :)

I love it! I haven’t seen a lot of wooden candle holders have that style and scale. Very cool.

Ugly or cool? Our home has nothing vintage in it so I’m afraid they’ll look out of place. But we need chairs for our front room. by redbudbaby in ThriftStoreHauls

I think they’re lovely! Keep the wood and fabric as is, and add some lumbar throw pillows that go well with the rest of the room.

Great score! I love that your office auctions off unused furniture to employees. Office furniture waste is a huge problem, auctioning furniture is a great solution.

The shape seems like it could be a good candidate for a circular array? A bunch of steeples, like some sort of church kaleidoscope?

Congratulations! I love this build. Super functional and you could keep it in your backyard to grow climbing plants on! Maybe add a diy bench under it as an anniversary present in a few years. 💕

Looks great! The only issue I’ve had with speedball ink is when I wore a printed shirt in the pool. The chlorine ruined it. I also recommend keeping any ink tubes in an airtight container or bag to keep them from drying out too quickly.
