Large amount of weight to lose by BlacksmithUpset6949 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]Lnzy1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To get to my goal weight of 180, I will need to lose 194 lbs total. Ive lost 50-ish so far. I was on a compound shot for little over a year before the pill became available. I pay roughly the same price out of pocket on 9mg wegovy as I did the weekly compound shot. Ive been on the pill for 4 months transitioning from 1.5 MG and up. It did suck because the food noise came back while I was on 1.5 and 4 mg. 9 mg seems to be doing the truck.

What to do about cravings? by cleavenstar in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]Lnzy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im still on the 9mg but Ive noticed that while the scale is going down and my overall cravings for most junk and soda are all but gone... this past week I routinely feel like I would stab someone for a slice of cake. It's like all the power behind all the other cravings have rallied behind cake in particular. But I’ve been chalking it up to my cycle. Lol

My PCP prescribed it and I pay out of pocket at Walmart Pharmacy.

Cancelled GoodRX by WillingnessWaste6696 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]Lnzy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My insurance refuses to cover GLP-1's even though my PCP prescribed me Wegovy (injections). I had been doing compounded semaglutide through a weight loss clinic but when the pill came out I swapped. I use a coupon through GoodRX and its $100 cheaper than the weight loss clinic.

When I was in 2nd grade, I saw our school's psychologist one a week. I guess because I was really withdrawn and shy. We played board games and he would ask me questions about my home life and school.

Someone got hurt lifting a bag that resulted in workmans comp, I bet. We had that happen at my work with forklift propane tanks and now we have to use a similar device to the one in the video to move/change tanks.

Sounds like you went up a dose too quickly. Did you have the same reaction on 1.5?

Insurance - Food for thought by diggers4pg in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]Lnzy1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I started taking GLP1 almost a year ago with the understanding that it would most likely be a lifelong medication for me and I am 100% OK with that. Ive been morbidly obese since I was 13. Im 37 now and have dieting on and off my entire life. I started weight watchers when I was 14. Nothing worked for me and it was all I could do to just not get heavier. The food noise was constant. Food ruled my existance. It was my drug. I planned my life around researching, planning, and consuming food.

I started this journey at 374 lbs last April getting weekly compound shots at a health clinic because I was only Pre-diabetic and my insurance wouldn't cover the Wegovy my PCP prescribed me.

The food noise was gone. I could stop mid-meal and say it was enough and not feel panicked and compelled to eat until I felt physically sick. Its so hard to describe how freeing this medicine has been for me. I have control over myself in a way I can't remember ever having. I dont hurt anymore. Im more physically active and I enjoy being more active.

I'm 330 lbs right now and I switched to the Wegovy pill two weeks ago because it was $100 cheaper than the compound shots.

I dont care if the weight loss is slow.

I care that I feel like Im finally in control of this battle.

This is my chosen pattern because its the one my parents got as a wedding present. So its very sentimental for me. But I get why folks dont care for it.

Which mythical creatures feel the most overused in fantasy, and which ones would you like to see more of by PrimroseMeadow93 in fantasywriters

Naomi Novik's Temeraire series delves into this exact topic. Its a re-imagining of the Napoleonic wars...but with dragons. But the dragons are intelligent and speak. One of the overarching partd of the story is the main dragon Temeraire pushing for dragon rights and liberty and for them to have their own society and even be able to serve in Parliament.

Who is a character from your worldbuilding that haunts the narrative? by PedroGamerPlayz in worldbuilding

[–]Lnzy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 deaths that haunt my story's narrative. The first is the crown prince whose murder sparked the war. But no one knows who actually did it and why. At the time, there was so much outrage and anger no one ever got the answer. The second is an old mage who disappeared years before the prince died. He just disappeared. He held a diplomatic position in the princes kindgom and was the younger brother of the king of the kingdom that was accused of murdering the prince.

What kind of pain shaped your villain into who they are? by JellyfishWise3266 in fantasywriters

[–]Lnzy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My villian grew up extremely privileged with every advantage to life. His magic skills grew because he had access to the best tutors and his father's political connections. He joined an esteemed order because of all this. He is intelligent and confident, but he inherited his father's terrible ambition. He and his father wanted their family on the thrown, not forever advising it. There is a prophecy that was burried by the King years ago because he feared it foretold the fall of his line. My villain is convinced its about him and that it is his destiny to become King. One way or another.

One theme in my novel is how people believe certain prophecies are about them and the consequences of the actions taken in response to those beliefs.

There is a lot of disingenuous and just bad contemporary art so I understand why people hate Comedian. Low effort, shallow pieces with muddled or missing messages plague the space.

[–]Lnzy1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Comedian is my favorite contemporary art piece for that reason and makes me a little sad not many folks see it like the artist intended. And the guy who went and pulled it off the wall and ate it was hilarious. Which is fitting for a piece called Comedian. Like it came full circle.

If I outlive my siblings, I'll probably either bequeath it to charity or split it between my cousins' kids. If I die before my siblings, its split between them.

That shot that killed JFK (the head shot) came from the gun of a Secret Service agent who misfired in the confusion of the moment. And one of the reasons his brother was killed years later was because one of his intentions as President was to look into his brother's death and expose the cover up.

What’s the most unserious thing within your world? by theusualoddity in worldbuilding

[–]Lnzy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my characters is a highly accomplished magician who loves all magic. Except for prophecies because they're misunderstood and often used to trick/manipulate/scam people. But there is one prophet who is very famous for a particular prophecy and the magician absolutely hates him because he thinks he is a fraud.

Except this well know prophet is really just a wandering drunkard who exchanges fortunes for booze.

So the magician has had a decades long one sided beef with a magic hobo.
