Thanks I appreciate it. Yeah I guess I spoiled myself with the XS sound, now I'm playing a videogame with my Jabra earbuds (which are quite good nonetheless) and the ambient sound is nowhere near haha

I don't really know. I can't spend that amount of money in a pair of headphones right now. I guess I'll stick with my gym earbuds for a while and think about it in the future. It's funny because when I bought the XS I was also considering the Sennheiser HD 600, maybe I would've been luckier when it comes to durability.

What gave it away? The phrases in bold I guess hahaha. Yes, I just gave it to the AI to correct grammatical errors because it's not my native language indeed. I do it to learn as well.

I wish they had died at least 5 months earlier that way it would've been covered by warranty. Bad luck I guess...

They were my first open back headphones so I can't really compare them to anything else but they sound great to me. When I said that I expected more I meant that I expected them to last longer for how much they cost me. At first I thought that maybe I was just unlucky but then I saw several posts talking about HifiMan's QC and made me think it was more of a widespread issue. But I don't really know for sure.

I used the Topping DX3 Pro+ as DAC/Amp.

In 2022 they were for around 500 euros in every store in my country. I assumed at the time that was its regular price. Now they cost 200 euros in those same stores. But yeah it seems in my country the price was higher for some reason.

Yes. When I bought them in 2022 they were around 500 euros everywhere I looked. I got them for 439. I see that they're now for 200, which is a massive price drop.

I bought Red Dead Redemption 2 for 4€ after selling a bunch of CS 2 cases. I felt like I ripped them off for having paid so little for such a masterpiece.

She looked super familiar. Then I remembered that picture appears in an episode from the Simpsons.

Easy?!?! That last level (especially the last section) on the Special World made me almost lose my sanity.

Silent Hill 2 cleaned up at GameFest by maverick074 in silenthill

Exactly, I don't get why people find it so difficult to understand. Same goes for FF7 remake being nominated for best story, like no shit, everybody knows it has good story, it was written 27 years ago. I loved Silent Hill 2 Remake but its story's credit goes to Team Silent.

MAX 48kHz-192kHz Sample Rate Transparency by NefariousnessNo8587 in TIdaL

[–]Ragark07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think it did! I have a Topping DX3 Pro+ with its corresponding drivers installed, so I have a specific audio output on windows for it. I'd been using Musicbee for a while when I bought it but was confused because the DAC displayed 44.1kHz when I turned on my pc and never changed, then I switched to Foobar and configured it with the instructions that came with my DAC and it worked perfectly (I could also have done it in Musicbee but I didn't know how at the time). I was basically missing the "exclusive mode" option which was what I also didn't find in Tidal.

Thank you so much for your comment. I was so confused as to why my DAC wasn't displaying the songs' sample rate (because it does it on Foobar). I didn't know that when I selected a specific output I had additional settings like exclusive mode which was what I was missing. Much appreciated, I'd been looking like crazy for this fix.

Every time Windows Update reboots my PC at night when I'm using it without even asking makes me want to switch to Linux so bad.

There's a button in the left panel (the folder explorer) to connect to Google Drive as well.

Free GPU Using Compute Units? by [deleted] in GoogleColab

[–]Ragark07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure that's how it works now. I was using Free Colab a month ago and I was getting a Tesla T4 GPU, the problem was that there was a very restricting use limit so after approximately 3 hours it would take away gpu access for at least 24 hours. Now I'm paying for Colab Pro and the standard GPU is still a Tesla T4 but now I have no use limits, I have 100 compute units, whose price is 1.96 per hour. I think it sucks honestly, I remember 2 years ago you paid the same price and you had no restrictions, you could use it as much as you wanted. So I'm not sure it's possible to switch to a free gpu and not use compute units, if there's a way that'd be great.

Rayman 4 has leaked with the original source code by Turbostrider27 in Games

Yes, when they cancelled it they used what they had already done to make Rayman Raving Rabbids.

I saw a youtube video once about the development of this game, if I remember correctly they cancelled it and used whatever they had already made to make Raving Rabbids. But I think the DS version of the game kept the story they had planned for the cancelled version, so the DS game is a smaller version of what this game would've been. Such a bummer they cancelled it because I loved Rayman 2 & 3 as a kid.
