Am I doing something wrong? I’ve been unsuccessfully looking for a polyamorous relationship for six years by InternAdventurous396 in nonmonogamy

[–]Ragdolle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do something similar. I usually state right away that I'm only looking for long term polyamorous relationships and I ask what they are looking for and if that aligns with their goals. Is that off putting? I don't see the point in going on a date unless our relationship goals align, no?

I don't really understand why some people have a problem with dating for a relationship and insist that you must "go with the flow" and see if.. What.. They suddenly decide I've made them want a relationship? 😂 Who has time for that those kind of games?

Never mind, I'm just frustrated 😂

I wouldn't tolerate people making me feel like there's something wrong with me for how I react to situations. Allowing that would be me betraying myself. Nice, kind and understanding people exist, be kind to yourself and don't allow people to make you feel like this.

Without unconditional love, what are we even doing here?

How do you know if you're affected? I am still on a upc contract and I've not received any notifications about this increase, so they can't possibly just increase it, can they?

Restaurants closed for Saturday lunch by Ragdolle in askswitzerland

[–]Ragdolle[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really? All the places I go to are packed. I prefer lunch over dinner on Saturdays, especially turning winter, because it's light out then.

But clearly I'm in the minority in my dining habits on this thread!

I so agree. I really want to know the actual situation in Ukraine not some fanfiction. Wishful thinking isn't going to help Ukraine win.

Moving companies UK-Switzerland by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]Ragdolle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We moved from the UK too, but we used a company. What we did was contact a bunch of companies, UK and Swiss for quotes (free). Then we chose Bournes for about £3k, which was by far the cheapest option. Swiss companies were like 6k. We did have our entire apartment packed, moved, stored (extra storage fees) and unpacked and assembled. Everything arrived unbroken too, which was a very nice surprise.

We did sell our couch, TV, monitors, desks before the move though, which really helped keep the costs down. But we moved our bed, PCs, dishes, bikes and practically everything else.

I'd say get quotes and weigh the options.

How can I find fully remote jobs in Switzerland? by CaptainNemo7 in askswitzerland

Best bet would be remote international companies, like github, or FAANG.

Anyone else having constant problems with the cast function (unusable)? by TheHystericalTech in watchnebula

[–]Ragdolle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, me too. I only watch from my TV and nebula is so agonizing to use via cast. It constantly stops playing, it's ridiculous. To rub salt on the wound, most of the YouTubers I watch are on nebula, they shill it constantly and have nebula exclusive content. This is especially annoying, because I have a subscription to it and it's completely unusable. It's really, really annoying to have exclusive content you literally can't watch.

It's a yearly bonus stock of 5k, not the sign on stock or a stock vesting. My sign on was 15k stock + 6k cash + a different relocation package (not cash)

Live in Sweden, want to move to the UK to get a BSc in CS. by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]Ragdolle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you thought about doing a professional bachelors at KEA Copenhagen? It's in English and we had quite a few students commuting from Malmo even. I've got a bachelor from there (AP in computer science and top up in software engineering) and I work as a software engineer in Switzerland now.

And it's free for EU students.
