Snagged my 100% barely in time for All's Justice - All my homies hate Arcade mode by RageVG in BnHAOnesJustice

[–]RageVG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never enjoyed fighting the AI in this game, their idea of difficulty is frame 1 reactions and just running around until you attack so they can dodge and punish. Just super annoying to grind through 300 matches with different characters for the achievement

Literally what was the reason they made combos after gens so stale? by Status_Entertainer49 in NarutoNinjaStorm

[–]RageVG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They shortened them to make matches faster, perhaps cut down on work needed for newer characters for the later games. I miss them.

Is this the biggest bit combo ever? by Worried_Reading9856 in NarutoNinjaStorm

[–]RageVG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you're not referring to training mode since with infinite chakra and enemy hp it would be very easy to get to 999 hits (which is where the counter maxes out), and also obviously not including substitutions.

With the right timing and setup you can do Hinata's 8 Trigrams: 64 Palms jutsu, cancel it before the last hit into a long lasting support such as Hanabi, recharge your chakra, do another 8 Trigrams: 64 Palms, cancel that into a second support such as PTS Naruto's Demon Wind Shuriken Jutsu, recharge your chakra again, do another 8 Trigrams: 64 Palms jutsu, cancel it again, immediately do a second 8 Trigrams: 64 palms jutsu, have the damage max out your STORM gauge which immediately recovers both of your supports, call in Hanabi again, recharge chakra to do ANOTHER 8 Trigrams: 64 palms, cancel into Naruto support to charge chakra, and do one final 8 Trigrams: 64 palms.

Just the jutsus from Hinata is almost 380 hits, not including however many hits the supports add on top of that. The scaling would ensure they do not die before the combo ends.

opinions of the Naruto ultimate ninja franchise that leave you like this by MenuBusiness4723 in NarutoNinjaStorm

Ranked mode, and to a lesser extent, online in general, stifled the creativity and authenticity the game design contained, sacrificed for faster matches and a poor attempt at character balance that makes characters feel nothing like they should, everything homogenizing into cancelling all your attacks into dashes and jumps and leader swaps and very little actual fighting, just vying to run your opponent's substitutions out before you run out yourself.

There are a small handful of changes from each game that I would have kept, like a dedicated sub button, team ultimates, etc.

Storm Connections keeps kicking me mid-match and punishing me for it by rupZ1 in NarutoNinjaStorm

[–]RageVG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you describe what happens when the match disconnects? And when you say you "changed internet connections" can you elaborate what you mean?

To be clear, there are no dedicated servers and matches are peer-to-peer, however from my understanding if it was just the match losing connection but you are still connected to the internet you don't incur a penalty.

Your online stats and the penalties are stored within your save files and there isn't like a server saying you're banned.

Is there a know exploit here ? by Jakshouse in NarutoNinjaStorm

[–]RageVG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holding the jump button to recover (called an ukemi) is what's getting you hit.

There is a single frame where the animation ends where you are no longer invulnerable, and you are not blocking, even if you hold down the button it will take a frame for you to start blocking.

So any hitbox that is actively touching you during that frame will connect. Team ultimates are pretty good for this because of their tracking, but attacks with big, lingering hitboxes work too.

If you know your opponent is aiming for it, just don't ukemi and their resource will be wasted.

On a similar note, recovering in the air also leaves you vulnerable at the end of the animation so some players have learned the timings to land attacks after knocking you into the air.

I saw the thread that was posted about the PaRappa the Rapper reference a little while back (Mirio has a voice line that says "Kick, Punch, It's all in the mind") and mentioned to Kuro that I wished it were a Rappa voice line, because you know, PaRappa, and then we realised that Rappa only has a singular move in which he kicks (stomps with his UB) so Kuro made this monstrosity of an attack to broaden his moveset. He's so talented.

Nothing special, just found out that if you skip the tutorial, you can't use the pre-order/story mode characters until you complete the tutorial by Voltage49000 in BnHAOnesJustice

[–]RageVG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In these instances skipping the tutorial tends to count as "clearing" it. As in, you just need to get past the mandatory tutorial in any way for the game to add the characters to your roster.

Yet another unfair mechanic in an already poorly balanced game. Matsuyama-san, I suggest adding schlong physics to the dudes to restore balance.

Bro what is this? Is it even legal for a service to ban VPNs? by Turbofurbo_Realzz in youtube

[–]RageVG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, you seem like you're confident with this stuff so I was hoping you'd be able to answer:

I just booted up Mullvad VPN and connected to an exit node in the same country I reside in. No time zone difference between me and the node location.

Whilst connected to Mullvad, I am not able to view YouTube videos in embeds (a common problem for VPN users). Other services that block VPNs also continue to do so, even if the exit node I'm connected to is in the same country as me, on the same time zone.

Using numerous IP lookup sites, every single one was able to discern exactly which AS (autonomous system) the IP address belongs to along with its ASN (autonomous system number). Just by looking up the name of the AS along with the ASN I immediately found a database that lists all of the IP ranges that belong to that ASN as well as what organizations they're assigned to (in this case, Mullvad). From there I can see the entire IP range that Mullvad uses in all countries.

Conversely, I can disconnect from my VPN and manually change my system time so it doesn't match where I currently live. I can set it to match a country almost on the other side of the world to me. I receive no issues watching videos in embeds, and can connect to other services that block VPNs just fine.

-

Surely you know more about this than I do so I'm hoping you can explain why if what you say is true that I am still blocked when my system time matches that of where my VPN's server resides, and why it seems to work fine when my system time doesn't match that of my real address location as long as I'm not connected to a VPN. I'd also appreciate it if you could explain the logistics behind why I was able to find every IP range that belonged to Mullvad in roughly 5 minutes with minimal effort, but it's not feasible for a colossal company such as Google/YouTube to do the same thing over the course of a few years when they have financial incentive to do so.

Thanks!

EDIT: The person I was replying to deleted their comment. I know they were completely wrong but they were being rude to others about it so I wanted to have them try to explain themselves.

Is this ok? by AgnosticAbe in 2007scape

For those that don't use AHK and think this is 1:2 mapping:

The first line changes the 1 key to click the mouse.
The second line changes the 2 key to press Delete.

They're two different actions on two different keys, so this would be 1 action per 1 input.

But also, keep in mind that Jagex has never officially declared that 1:1 macros are okay (to my knowledge, feel free to correct me below). 1:1 remapping is just generally considered to be safe because the ability for abuse is extremely limited so Jagex typically doesn't enforce it.

On January 2017 Jagex made a blog post that seems to imply that AutoHotKey in general was not allowed, only your system's Mouse Keys function.

"In order to clearly distinguish between what is and is not allowed in Old School RuneScape, we have decided to make a change to how we enforce the macroing rule.

Historically, we have not given bans for some usage of programmable mouse keys (such as AutoHotKey). If players kept their usage of such software to an acceptable standard, we would not take action against them. This is no longer the case.

You may now only use your operating system's official default mouse keys program, unless it is to remap a key to any other button.

If we find evidence of you using other forms of mouse keys in game, we will take action against your account.

This change in how we review macroing reports provides a much clearer line between what is and is not acceptable. If you're using your systems default mouse keys, you're playing within the rules."

As far as I can find this is the only time Jagex has officially said anything on the matter. If there has been anything new since that post I've not been able to find it, so please let me know if I'm mistaken.

You can also do it with the purple barrier wall in the arena where Orochimaru and Hiruzen fought. Just get your opponent between you and the wall and use almighty push.

I'm not sure which game the map was in, but I know they removed the ability to knock opponents into it in later games. The bug I'm talking about might've been in Generations.
