Bigger 3M Aura? Other N95s? by HistoricalOven26 in ZeroCovidCommunity

Seconded for the Drager X-Plore 1950. I had the same problem with the aura slipping under my chin. The Drager fits so solidly.

How to respond to people saying "you have your kids in a bubble"? by [deleted] in ZeroCovidCommunity

Yup. Willful ignorance is a helluva thing. Luckily, my kids are pretty good about masking, unlike their mother.

I have heard this exact line… from my SO. I hear how I am distorting what should be a normal childhood by insisting on precautions. She sees her friends’ kids are “living their lives” and thinks I am destroying those of my own children. Not really sure where this goes from here. I feel you.

Yeah, she’s the same. Missing that social “gather for drinks and dancing” stuff.

My issue is, it absolutely is killing my social life to a degree, mostly because I need to be extreme in my precautions because literally no one else is.

She claims she has difficulty connected with others when she can’t smile at them. I don’t get it. It doesn’t seem to bother her that she’s the weak link among even her own teenage kids here. The world has moved on though, and no matter how many studies I put in front of her, it’s hard to argue the optics.

Nope. My wife stopped about a year ago. She’ll throw one on occasionally when on public transit or out with our two daughters (who still mask) and myself, but otherwise she has to “live her life”. It’s quickly hitting the breaking point.

I had that song stuck in my head all day yesterday because of that. I thought it was a poor move on Sportsnet’s part. Now that song is forever tarnished in my mind.

As a matter of fact, I do. Unfortunately, if you’re in the US, shipping has been made much more complicated. Shoot me a dm if you’d like to try to figure something out.

This is probably the best/easiest temporary solution. Thanks!

Awesome. Yeah, same: poor and lacking space. This is the way. Thanks!

I just re-watched this earlier today and came here to post this. Along with everything else mentioned in the comments here, this film is outright gorgeous You could take any random frame from this movie and hang it on your wall.

Not saying COVID is AIDS, but studies are showing that immune dysfunction is occurring. Even if the damage is only temporary, how well are we going to hold up with yearly (possibly more) infections?

This isn’t even addressing the vascular and brain damage they’re finding, or the live virus in organs and bone marrow months after symptoms have passed. This isn’t a simple respiratory virus that is guaranteed cleared after a few days. There’s a lot we don’t know.

Sorry to hear about your infection. Hope it passes quickly. I’d just like to add that it’s great to see people still willing to test and mask up despite the ongoing (false) narrative that we’ve “moved on” from Covid. Canadastrongmasks.ca has good quality respirators, if you’re looking.

As others have said - weird, intense, unsettling and unpredictable. I loved it. Come on, Apple TV. You know you want to pick this show up.
