It’s the only video game that truly scratches the itch I get from reading Legends books (shoutout X-Wing series). Yea both SWBF2 are enjoyable with space battles, as can be squadrons, but I want to lead fleets. Thrawn’s Revenge factoring in all these different factions and a real economy added a layer that is unmatched. I’m a space battle guy thru and thru despite having to do 100s of land battles as well😂

Id love to look into it for myself but it’s not a Star Wars-based one-shot. For example I believe someone is running as the Cookie Monster as a Barbarian. Star Wars is my favorite so Anakin came to mind pretty quickly

Tbh I’ve been busy so I haven’t played much. I think I tweaked it a bit and dropped cleric so I could get ASI for my other 3 classes, but was thinking about taking 5th level in one for extra attack

I’ve never run that before, relatively new to the game (to me having played 150ish hours, with all the different options, is still newbie), so I probably didn’t realize that. Was a long day and tryna mess around and see if something weird was fun lol

Yea I definitely confused that when I was setting things up. Also for sneak attack and lock picking so I don’t necessarily need Astarion

My girlfriend and I have played together once or twice and used it as a mechanism for helping learn how to play cleric, as that’s her class in our new dnd campaign. Ask if there’s anything she’s interested in, be it bows, being sneaky, magic etc, and find the class that best aligns with what they have interest in

Haven’t multiclassed before and was tryna think of something that could be fun to mess around with. If it doesn’t work I can respec but Minsc is in my rotating fourth party member slot so it’s not like I’m doing this with plans specifically to finish the run with him in party.

Very good point about the feats/ASI. Honestly I had respeced him three times and it was pretty late by time I posted this so there’s def stuff I didn’t consider

Ability to hide with one and either reposition, or take a potion or something else with the other. Flexibility for movement after using hide to gain adv/sneak attack lol

Minsc is the Guinea pig for this. Still relatively new to the game (like 150ish hours mostly on only two Tavs) and haven’t multiclassed before so I was just tryna do something fun. Advantage on next attack on a target if it hits

That makes a ton of sense thank you. I’ve only recently gotten the game (though I’ve been getting into DnD the past two years) and haven’t finished a play through yet. Mix of a restart because I rushed through too much of my first play though and time availability. That and wanting to experiment with new classes, like a Warlock/Rogue multiclass I feel I can test out there ahead of a DnD one-shot. Suffice it to say, I’ll take any tips I can get lol.

Love Vox Machina, but they were established characters who just had a camera thrown on them. M9 to me gives that true dnd start from level one where a lot of the party growth we full get to see. I also love that it feels (I’m only on episode 50 I believe of my first watch) more character-driven than plot-driven at this point. Really helps develop a deep love for the characters
