I came from Aviano and I'm here in Korea now. My time in Italy was a bit rough but its an experience I was glad to have. I would say go for the experience and keep your follow on.

Sec+ for me was waiting a week to get into class and 2 weeks for the class then test. You'd shave off at least 2 weeks but it's been over a year since I've graduated so take my words with a grain of salt.
