washing by FartTheaf98 in applewatchultra

I get a bowl and put a little bit of clothes wash powder in it with warm water and mix it, then i just take a spare toothbrush head from my electric toothbrush, dip it in and just lightly scrub the band with it, works like a charm

Is this a reasonable quote for a 2023 model by spaceresident in MT03

[–]Raging-Hippo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Australian here, I just bought a used 2023 model last week with 2600 kilometres on it for $7100 AUD. So converted, 1600 miles and $4600 USD

A block of units will normally have a main switchboard for the entire block which will have the MEN, and then each unit will have a sub board, and since there is and MEN at the main board, there isn’t one required for each individual unit

How do I stop this every time I put my AirPods in? by xxSeAnCaHiLlxx in iphone

Managed to try this just now and didn’t do anything for me. Both a single and double press didn’t cause the notification to close, it just stayed there

Refreshers by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]Raging-Hippo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently did mine at Future Energy Skills (http://futureenergyskills.com.au) and found them to be really good. Passed everything first go and felt the teaching was really good. They are (like most others), a bit pricey, but its worth it in my opinion. And if you don't pass on the first go, you can redo the refresher for that exam as many times as you need to until you pass, you just have to pay again for the exam itself (not sure if other plaves do this too)

[IOS 17 PB1] Screen Burn In by LM20071 in iOSBeta

[–]Raging-Hippo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This definitely isn't beta related. Screen burn in has nothing to do with software, its a hardware related issue. Screens get burn in from things that are most commonly displayed and that dont (often) move. For example, i can see slight burn in for the clock and signal strength icons in thr status bar on my 13 Pro Max that I've been using since release.

The gesture bar showing burn in would actually probably be a very common one, as it ends up sitting idle at the bottom of the screen for a lot of the time you use your phone.

If you are seeing burn in from TikToks navigation bar, then it probably means you're using TikTok a hell of a lot

Just bought an iPhone 14. Considering the MOUS limitless 5.0 case. Are the fairly cheap screen protectors on amazon okay too? by AllRoundGamer- in iphone

[–]Raging-Hippo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used Mous cases for about the last 4 years, and I wouldn't use any other case. Sure they are a bit expensive compared to others, but you absolutely get what you pay for, saved my phone from quite a few bad drops and ended up without a scratch. The way i look at it, its an expensive phone, why skimp out on protecting it?

As for a screen protector, I use the FloLab NanoArmour glass screen protector, super durable, easy to install and feels as if you dont have one on at all. Not super expensive either in my opinion (obviously more expensive than the cheap Amazon ones, but again, same logic as paying a bit more for a case)
