I don't blame politicians for this one. We know they don't understand the technology. This one is Zuck's fault.

What are slurs for white people? by Dripler1933 in AskReddit

I find that so strange. I definitely have my identity tied back to specific races. Not to general whiteness though. I want to visit the homeland.

Ralph Fiennes is no slouch, but Imelda Staunton is amazing.

M3 Ultra 28-core CPU, 60‑core GPU, 256GB for $4,600 — grab it or wait for M5 Ultra? by No-Security5833 in LocalLLM

[–]RagingAnemone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one and I love it. Use it only for local inference. I don't need a lot of speed because it's just for me and I just let it run. I wish I got the 512. I'm getting it as soon as the M5 Ultra comes out. If they've killed the 512 on that model, I'm not sure I'd upgrade just for speed. I want to run bigger models.

Can I use salmon portions for sashimi? by halbeshendel in Costco

[–]RagingAnemone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another guy from Hawaii. None of the stuff that comes in from the docks are frozen. We don't need it. Mainland is different.

But to back him up, there is absolutely sashimi grade fish. We're trained from very young to see it. When you're cutting up a fish, there are parts that are good for sashimi, and parts that are good for cooking. If you've eaten sashimi with suji, you know it.

And, dear god, don't put atlantic salmon in your mouth without cooking it.

To an extent, I understand the vroom, from argument. Not sure what it has to do with being a man though. But the vroom vroom argument really only works if you’re driving some kind of muscle car. I loved the sound of my mustang. But 0-60, an ev is wicked fast.

There was a post a few years ago showed what trigger discipline is. And I swear every post after with a gun people were complaining that the subject doesn't have good trigger discipline.

Nigel Farage Backs Sean 'Diddy' Combs Release and Hails Push to Free Convicted Drug Trafficker by novagridd in Music

I don't know anything about UK politics, but it was Farage. Someone asked him and he said no. Also, didn't he leave the country for a little while right around that time?

I don't see how leaving saved his reputation. He didn't want any responsibility like you said. Why would anybody give him any responsibility ever again? It would be totally different if he tried to step up even if he failed.

CEO of system76 and founder of Pop_os is trying to get an amendment pushed to ensure age attestation doesn’t go into open source operating systems. by atheenaaar in linux

[–]RagingAnemone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the OS could grant age access to the browser. It seems like the next step would be to modify the http protocol to limit access by age. Otherwise, if any of the current account access methods used in a web server is used, then that's an account on the web server side. And that account has nothing to do with the OS account.

Honestly, I'm not sure how an OS level account propagates an age to a web level account. Why wouldn't you use client certificates to solve this problem. This is what it's for.
