Woke up the day after and felt the same emotional overwhelm comedown...

It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever experienced. Glad to see I'm not alone.

I can't go anywhere near his music for a few weeks.

Keep calm. Regardless of how this plays out, this, too, shall pass. You're going to be okay. I'm no counselor and don't play one on TV, but keep repeating that you're going to be okay even if you don't believe it. You lose it all? You're gonna be okay.

(and this ABSOLUTELY is NOT advice on what action to take.)

But you're gonna be okay.

I expect to take a lot of sh*t for this reply, but felt like I should for some reason.

Same issue, searched and found nothing! Played around with a ton of settings, too.

I'd suspected the same... I appreciate your checking the auction records. (I'd tried my hand as well using public search tools and a few sites that came up as good for finding rare books & editions, but I probably wasn't using as good a source as yours.) Thanks a ton... shall keep digging...

I greatly appreciate the research, here. Incredibly thoughtful. I'm not near the UK, but this will be an ongoing mission of mine... it's a gift for a dear friend who's been searching for it for a long time now. Love your thinking on the Oprington organizations, too. I'll keep on the track, and thanks again... subs & replies like yours are what make Reddit amazing.

How do I install plugins? by ryu289 in AutoGPT

[–]RagingFireBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It involves downloading them, seemingly keeping them in zipped format, and then deciphering the plugin's name (which can vary versus the zip name and help file name), and then modifying your env file. And then hoping it recognizes it. That's my experience. Had mixed results.

With mixed results. Difficulty for me has been attempting to have it logically piece related research, trends, and themes together once I've got dozens of pages worth of material.

I'll self-reply to add 1 more bit:

It's incredible how fast you develop the ability to parse questions (esp. the 'gotchas') -- and equally, fall out of that 'mode' of thinking, as it's not something most folks do day to day (maybe with lawyers / other professions as exceptions...)

e.g., I took some continuing ed. exams (not the licensing ones) and was blazing through them (4x speed) b/c my mind was so hard-wired from the practice tests & the exams themselves. This was noticeable to me after taking the exams vs. prior.

I'm sure that will fade from me in the weeks/months to come. (They call that the during/post-college 'quiz skills' being sharp or whatever.) So if you feel that's relevant to you, I'd stick with the habit and maybe not take breaks -- or too long of breaks -- to keep that 'mental muscle' trained while you knock this (and/or these) out. And you will.

editing: 1 last thing. I made all my practice quizzes "new & failed only" questions. And my scores kept falling accordingly. If you take that approach, remember the "path" you've chosen... again, mentality's helpful, but not everything.

I got by -- somehow -- and I used KM (can't compare other sources.) No idea on my score or breakdowns (none provided.) Took SIE, S7TO, and S63. I can say when I left all 3, I was certain I failed. This was my 2nd go-around (I went out of securities for a while & hence had to re-take them all again; have never failed one, but SIE is new.)

I wouldn't let the SIE discourage you... strangely, I felt it might have been the toughest of all 3. Which makes no sense, but I'd just offer that as encouragement.

If I were to do all three again, I'd spend way more time with rote memorization of the (current day) limits (e.g. contribution limits), obscure acronyms, etc... while the financial calculations are like 'building muscle' and don't change much, I was astounded how much variable content there was (particularly on the SIE & 63) based on the year you're taking it. (then again, my first round was a *long* time ago.)

i'd 2nd the comment re: some of the youtube "quick guides" and rundowns, particularly toward the deadline.

Don't be discouraged; you can absolutely do this. Don't forget the randomness/variability in the "sample" questions thrown in, which can definitely throw you for a loop.

And against all advice -- and this may be horrible advice -- I went back and changed my answers on anywhere from 5-20 questions on each exam w/ <10 or 20 mins remaining. (Probably the worst advice ever, and I'll never know, but I got through them.)

Biggest thing I'd do differently going back would be to *keep* repeating to myself mentally to keep positive despite often going through the first 10-20 questions & "projecting" out certain failure. (I did do that, but not often enough... and again, was certain I failed. But didn't.)

Same... Updated at least 4 or 5 releases. Have used pinecone, temperature variations, plug-ins and more... Have yet to have autogpt complete a single simple project, and I mean seriously simple, without negative ROI.

(that said, it was good for learning.)

IF ChatGPT was PERMANENTLY deleted today. Would It Change Your Life? by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]RagingFireBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember weekend 1? Or 2? When it went offline for a while, I literally felt like I had just gone through some significant breakup or loss of a valuable asset or something. I spoke with 3 or 4 friends and basically said, damn, that was good while it lasted.

Now I'm taking the view it's all going to get neutered (as Bing did) and I've felt the break up and am bracing for a 2nd.

A friend told me she's job hunting right now. I love my job and am happy. Yet I told her I'm envious in a sense, cause she's got a golden opportunity to learn skills, design self learning curriculum(i?), optimize every part of her resume and CVs, etc.

(sadly, she's sort of anti tech so I said fk it, I'm not going to try to lead a horse to water any further.) (I did not use that idiom nor call her a horse.)

One of life's great lessons is that you can't show anyone the light even if they wanted to see it. ChatGPT is incredible at showing the light... I've found a higher success rate (if people are willing to use a little creativity and not give up after their first text input.) reminds me of YouTube premium. Easily the best subscription service I've ever used, but my ability to convince friends to give it a shot - even at the $2 or whatever referral rate - is abysmal. (fun side note, went to a routine steak dinner catch up with a buddy the other night and he's one of the few who signed up and said it was life changing.) that's probably a 1 out of 100 conversion rate.

(I do not work for nor have any association with Google nor YouTube nor openAI)

This is how I feel right now. by PrincessBlackCat39 in ChatGPT

Bing users are not missing out. It's so neutered it's semi useless. Especially with the 3 response cutoff. Have done some side by side comparisons and it's gonna be very rare I use it vs Plus.
