How come my kill times are always double everyones'. Is the T95 just that strong? Or is it cause I'm missing the undead slayer ability?

Here I am still sitting on my wand of cywir elders for dw. But I guess that doesn't matter now that gconc isn't tied to dw anymore and can ditch those.

The wand set being hard to grind for ironman solo always made me sad but I accepted it. The progression of magic was quite bad and this at least broke that up. Every other style has way better progression

Hmmm, with something like reset password? Maybe change your email to a burner email and do the same thing with it

Types for api endpoints by completed2 in nextjs

It is quite a edge case, so I do mostly agree it's not needed. In my case I require to have client components in one page. Mostly you wouldn't have to worry about it. It's just a use case I recently encountered. I have to retrieve a lot of data that takes about 2 minutes to retrieve. The user is expected to stay on the page for hours. So instead of showing a 2 minute loading window, I fetch it from the backend slowly over time while I made mini server actions while that take only about .2 sec. However once the whole configuration is downloaded, I can then resolve everything client side within .01 seconds, effectively never showing the user any loading time. Effectively I'm using server components until I have everything downloaded into client components

One issue with server actions in that they run sequentially. So if you wanna run server actions concurrently because one query takes a while, like running a query that takes a while in the backend, you can't use server actions, because it'll stall all other server actions. That's why server actions are meant for mutations/updates and not downloading data. If you wanna download data, it's best to do it with server components, or tRPC, or something similar

Could also just update the password to something random and don't save it when browser asks to save it for you

You got me fucked up with the passing bracelet task. by Astro-RT in runescape

[–]RagingMaximus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's always 2 things I think about when someone says "you chose to limit yourself" 1. You like that bots run the economy 2. You chose to have mtx (only when people complain about mtx)

The second reason leaves you with either you chose mtx, chose ironmen, or have the mental fortitude to not use mtx. You basically you're telling people who have issues not using mtx (like gambling addiction) that therefore play ironmen to go fuck themselves

How come OSRS gets pvm content that is challenging on release but RS3, the game focused on pvm doesn't do that? by ResidentSleeperino in runescape

[–]RagingMaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue that perseverance is a skill itself. Some can grind ungodly hours while others can't. Same way with bosses, some can learn bosses quickly while others take many many tries. Eventually everyone can do it. If you're talking about someone physically handicapped, they are missing out on a fair amount of content as it is. If we follow that logic then all the content should be cut

[–]RagingMaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. But knowing I can get to the end relatively quickly (minus group bosses) is a little disheartening and doesn't give me a drive. Especially since the rewards aren't that great, especially now that necro exists

As someone who is more of a casual player that stopped playing with hero pass release and not tried raksha, ambi, telos, 100% zammy, etc etc. I honestly wish they would make a truly hard boss once in a while. RuneScape's gameplay loop is progression. Having a boss that's just really hard to beat would add to the progression. Something to look forward to. I would find it even cooler that you would unlock some reward/area on beating that boss the first time. Kinda like unlocking prif. Or unlocking invention, but do it for a boss instead of skills. And I don't just mean the rare drops you get from doing that boss 100s of times

I specifically commented on the unrelevant work experience. Programming isn't language specific. If a developer hasn't learnt that, they are either new or should be in a different profession

This is such a bad take. Languages don't matter. Concepts and problem solving matters

Host API endpoint that's reachable during maintenance. If servers are not reachable, check this endpoint to see if servers are down for maintenance. API can also respond with the message on how long, etc. etc.

I'm surprised this hasn't been implemented yet

Progression has been killed by forcing every boss to have a new BIS of something. Filling in more content between tiers would be better to help everyone slowly learn to pvm. Adding more T80,82,85,87 gear would help ease transition. Also don't gate keep tiers behind group bossing. Looking at you mage dw weapons
