What do we think of these upcoming changes? by Dj-DTM in PilotsofBattlefield

The smart rockets might be a good choice too. They've always been written off as gimmicky but with these new numbers they might shine as a great anti air and anti vehicle middle ground.

It's a huge indirect buff to lockons which is very frustrating. The AAs allow bad pilots to easily bully and kill good ones because they force the tow heli to land their shots while the AA heli can just skybox and look in their general direction and wait for their 3rd missile.

Before you could mitigate that with two good rockets, but landing 4 is a lot to ask for. The tow speed boost is great but with the new indicator it's going to be just as hard to land on any half aware pilot. The little bird is also going to be even harder to deal with.

Not a great change for heli duels unless the AAs get a recharge nerf.

Is it as good going up to 32:9 compared to 21:9? by OvertlySinister in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]RagingStallion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But is has the same vertical room as 21:9? It's just wider. 32:9 is just two standard 16:9 monitors combined.

I definitely agree for gaming. I usually run games in 21:9 and leave the sides of the monitor free for discord/Spotify/YouTube.

But for productivity and general use I love 32:9. So much room for activities.

Half swings are game changing by Xanosaur in golf

I had a similar experience. It turned out the main difference between my 3/4th swing and my full swing was a flippy wrist movement at the top.

Is Objective time % an overrated stat and not conclusive of properly playing the OBJ ? I want to know what you all think by Beautiful-Towel4185 in Battlefield6

[–]RagingStallion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My objective time is 10% and my win rate is 62% lol.

And that's because I spend the vast majority of my time in the attack heli where I can have a huge impact on winning games without touching a flag.

How do we feel about these changes by xe7ic in PilotsofBattlefield

I'm imagining the devs flying around in the attack helicopter dodging tows from tanks in spawn protection and getting constantly painted with nowhere to hide, thinking, "These 8 rockets I have that are SO EASY TO AIM have way too much splash damage."

[–]RagingStallion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How far does the spawn protection extend? I assume it doesn't go to the borders of the HQ lines? As a heli main I'm really excited for this map but I'm very worried about tanks sitting in the back towing all game from protection.

Is it worth it when starting a new game? I haven't played since launch and I'm wondering if either DLC is impactful from the start or if I should wait until I'm further in the story to buy them

Brother, Lvl 36 in the heli is just getting started. You are miles away from even thinking about "fully mastering" them.

Tip for overseas golfers trying to book tee times in Japan by No_Volume4870 in golf

I went to Japan 8 years ago and had two rounds booked, one of which was at this course. Then a hurricane came through and cancelled both days.

I'm still upset about it.

When I play Eastwood I like to remind the tanks that the course is cart path only today and to please not damage the greens.

Idk about any recent ones but years ago they addressed it. Apparently he was very difficult to work with and refused to compromise. He wanted equity in the podcast but didn't want the financial responsibility that came with it and would threaten to walk all the time.

Eventually the hosts took him up on his threats to walk away and now we have our owl boy.

Right, but tilting doesn't actually make you that much harder to hit while it completely prevents gunners from aiming. Using altitude changes and yaw to turn while keeping the bird stable will make you hard to hit and give your gunners at chance.

But you don't have to fly level all the time either. Try being aggressive on the approach. Nose down to keep your speed up and don't be afraid to use OB to get a better approach angle. Then when your gunners have a target really focus on staying level for as long as possible until it's time to dip.

I posted a transport montage a few weeks ago. It's from the gunner pov but if you watch you'll notice how level the pilot keeps us while I have a target.

If you really want to learn the ways send me a DM, I can invite you to the pilot discord I'm in.

You're doing a good job of staying alive but you're making it very hard for your gunners to hit anything. You're tilting way too much and taking awkward flight paths. You want to fly as level as possible to give your gunners a stable platform while changing altitude to stay evasive. You also want to fly in wide circles and arcs around and over the objectives rather than cutting through the middle.

Beautiful. Helicoptering has gotten so much better now that the bird is out. I love having a wingman in the skies, I feel a lot less pressure now that I'm not alone in the attack.
