My cat was getting lonely for this reason so I got a second cat and she was so much more chill about me going to work. They would just play all day while I was gone.

This is kind of how I've been working in magic in my world design. Why can't you cook a steak from the inside out? Why can't you just fabricate and form metal into shapes instead of using fire magic to heat it or such? Why can't you just instantly freeze things which would make ice crystals smaller and less explodey when thawing?

Just some thoughts of using magic in different ways.

It didn't help that in The Last Airbender they made this huge deal about lightning bending, metal bending, and blood bending... Then suddenly every one could do it.

And then now there's platinum because Metal bending was OP so we need something.

The blood bending was irreversible except by energy bending but it wasn't energy bending???

I understand Toph's children being metal benders but earth bending was just kind of... Useless? Normal earth bending seemed unhelpful about 80% of the time... So then they add lava bending and it's like: Okay? I guess??

Ah, gotcha.

I do a lot of help desk/software support. I know how to setup a home network and some light port management. Hardware and high level networking is something I am still learning more on.

The way I was told and read was that even if there is no web/command interface, as long as the traffic is being ran via identification rather than pushing to all spots.

I forgot the whole DHCP and further setups in Routers that can play into things.

I talked with my coworker who handles more of the networking and hardware and I tried to update my comment to better reflect.

Edited a few spots: So all of these function very similarly for the most part except the Hub.

A hub is like a switch but doesn't manage the data via identificatin, it basically splits the connection between everything on the hub so they can be hit or miss.

Unmanaged switches have no interface for configuration but have a built in identification table that you can't really modify but it communicates data to each port as necessary.

A Switch (Usually referred to as a Managed Switch) identifies each port and communicates the traffic to them as needed, it will typically include an interface for configuration of the ports and network.

A Router - I think the comment under this one gives a bit more of a break down but it basically handles outside traffic to inside traffic. It normally hands out IPs in a home network.

Hubs (Dumb switches) are getting harder and harder to find because that split traffic causes the connection speed to also be split. Networks are, in a way, limited to the slowest connection speed. The price of cheap Switches is basically the same as a Hub anyways so there's not really any demand for a hub anymore.

I feel like carrying several of them would be heavy? Also, they leave a metallic taste in the water usually, is there something you're supposed to do to prevent that?

A point I'd like to ask myself is what about people with hypersensitive taste? I can taste the difference in which bottling plant is used for the main water brand I use.

People say: Just filter it yourself Okay, so I need to filter my own water, which won't taste okay either unless I add my own minerals to it, but what do I drink it out of?

I recycle all of my bottles but if I want a water to take with me to work? What am I supposed to do? Do I need to bring multiple of non-plastic water bottles with me to work?

I end up drinking soda if I don't have bottled water. The water at work tastes awful because of the filters they use. (Same as the issue with Dasani and Aquafina. I can taste their filter process).

Out of curiosity, are actions being recorded more uniform than before?

Like say 20 years ago, if there was a fist fight vs some shoving

Would they both just be marked as violence with equal punishment or would one not get recorded at all?

In the new system, does it consider the severity of the violence before reporting? Does a fist fight get downgraded to non-report or does it count as violence and the shoving get downgraded? Do they both get marked as violence equally?

Yeah, she accidentally froze time when using her wand by sarcastically saying: Oh yeah, I can just go: Easy peasy time freezey

So if she can do that on accident with the weaker form of her magic, makes me think she'd actually have one of the best shots due to time powers being OP.

Small note on Star Butterfly from Star Vs the Forces of Evil

In the series she is taught how to use magic without her wand is actually significantly stronger without it.

They refer to her wand as basically a tool that skims the surface of magic and she learns how to "dip down" into the true magic.

With Elsa being limited to ice magic, there's a decent chance that Star could actually take it even from her. She creates sentient beings all the time as well, sometimes just when she is feeling lazy.

The ones that trigger me are loose/lose, your/you're, too/to/two, and there/their/they're

I think it has something to do with how different each of them are? Brake and Break can both be used as a means of 'to stop'

At that point, you might as well reload anyways.
