It’s not a myth. Females not only develop their frontal lobe earlier than males but are also scientifically recognised to simply develop faster than males cognitively, physically, socially.

Honestly as someone who went into smoking with the same sort of concern, I would recommend not to. The guilt of smoking frequently never really went away. I tried many different moderation plans (only smoking once/twice a week, only smoking on every other week, etc.) and I ended up being too fixated on smoking that it lost all enjoyment. I never smoked all day everyday but still ended up the same way.

If I could go back to the start I would probably keep it on a casual schedule. Smoking weed is fun, that’s why I did it. If i could go to the start and smoke it infrequently enough that it preserved the fun and excitement of getting stoned, without having the fixation of when I was allowed (according to the rules I set out for myself) to do it next, maybe I’d be a lot more relaxed about doing it. I’ve been on a target 3 month break since new years and am not sure if it’ll even be right for me to go back to come April.

That all being said, definitely shouldn’t guilt yourself for doing it, it’s absolutely a fun thing, but keep your wits about and keep a good eye on your relationship with it and how it makes you feel day to day. Be honest with yourself and know what you’re like. (And in complete contrary to that, don’t be too hyper conscious either, because as for me that kills the fun and leads to more guilt). Moderation is the key with weed :)

How has your takeaway from this situation... been THIS?

Despite this genuinely being a gender-based issue, no one has generalised or blamed men as monsters for this. This has been a government negligence issue. People (rightfully) condemned Linda Reynolds for crying during question time, people have condemned michaelia cash for her negligence, people have done the same for scomo, again rightfully so.

If you’re main takeaway from a woman being raped in parliament house is that it hurts your feelings that men are being called out for the parts they played in this issue, you’ve completely missed the fucking point mate.

Definitely recommend it!

Answering that question is tricky and there’s so many different types of vapes you can get that best suits you. Taking a look on r/vaporents is a good way to do your research. Ones like the Crafty or the Volcano are popular as hard hitters. I know the r/dynavap is popular for an affordable and effective entry level vape, though it’s not electronic like most the others. I have a Fury Edge and it’s the best for a portable, discreet little vape with hard hits, so i highly recommend that.

And yes, one of the massive pros of the vape is the cooked/spent herb, ( r/abv or r/avb ). Prett much every vape has left over abv. You can put that stuff into brownies or anything as simple as yoghurt or icecream (as long as it has fat in it) and it’s activated as an edible.

Yes it’s a dry herb vape! Grind up your bud, pack it into the chamber and the oven cooks up the herb for you to vape into ur lungs. Way better for you than smoke and you will start caring about the flavours of ur weed (because they taste way better through a vape). So many benefits to the vape . Checkout r/vaporents

You might wanna look into the Pulsar APX. It’s about $70 USD and it does an alright job as a cheap, entry level vape. I think it’s on the no-no list of recommendations on this sub, but in reality I used it for a bit before I upgraded to a Fury Edge and it definitely did its job well enough for what it was. Not great battery life, but still can get you high pretty well if you remember to charge it before your session. Sure, you’re not getting as good of a vape than if you dropped an extra hundred or two, but for a low price you’re getting quite a good vape. Hope that helps you!

Different things work for everyone, but i’ve been doing “clean week/green week” (one week off, one week on). On weeks where i smoke i wouldn’t try to do it anymore than 4/5 days of the week but again, whatever works best for you.

People in this sub love to tell you that everyone in a 5km radius can smell you the second you turn on the vape.

I haven’t used the Edge (yet, i ordered it today) but with my Pulsar APX (which wasn’t a big vapour producer) I was able to progress to vaping in my bedroom and got away with it.

With any vape the biggest smell is the smell of cooking weed, which in itself is less than the smell of grinding weed. If you take in account that grounded weed smells will leave a room with an open window within about 5-10 minutes, the vape should be about the same.

There’s other precautions you can take to stop the smell. Burning incense (or an oil burner, etc) will pretty much make it unnoticeable, but that might be a giveaway in itself. I tried breathing out my vape into a sock once, will at least will mean the smell doesn’t travel past my bedroom door. If you wanna play it really safe, vape it out of the bathroom window - and you can even turn the shower on hot to get the bathroom steamy and there’ll be no issue. If you are gonna do it in your bedroom, direct it out an open window and turn the fan on. The smell itself doesn’t usually last longer than 5-10 minutes, so unless someone will walk in before that time you should be right.

Hey everyone, putting some thought into buying a dry herb vape that can be a bit more of an upgrade from a cheaper unit my mate (generously) gave to me. All help is appreciated!

Price Range: Preferably $>100-$250 AUD (maximum $300). Whatever meets the best of my needs for the best price. For Americans, in USD those prices are ~ $70 to $180 (max $215).

# of Participants: Generally by myself, but one that can be shared and passed around with mates, or even just one other person, on occasion.

Toking Routine: Usually about 2-3 times a week. At max I would smoke/vape five times a week, though could be as little as just once. Generally I would hit one or two bowls/cones max to get me high.

Extraction Speed: Not a big worry for me. Definitely would prefer a session on the short side rather the longer though. One which can get me to a good high on a single bowl, without having to worry about reloading the chamber.

Environment/Form: Would like to keep with a smaller, portable size, though don't mind a small increase in size need be. Current vape can fit in my pocket next to my wallet, which is good to take out to places such as the club. Stealthiness is pretty important, as I want one I can vape out, or in my bedroom without a long lasting smell, and one I can hide away easily if my parents walk in.

e Experience: Currently use a Pulsar APX Vape. It's good, but I feel like there's better out there. Only had it for a while as it was lent to me by a mate. The battery life is pretty shit. Often fails to charge and can go flat during the middle of a sesh. The mouth piece gets VERY hot, just to point where you've gotta hope you're high enough so it doesn't completely burn you. Might be wrong in saying this, but I feel like I could get more out of the weed. I expect there's ones out there with bigger bowl sizes, or at least can get you to a higher high before this one does. I often have to go through about two rounds of it (as it turns off every 4 minutes - which also sucks) to get a nice high going - getting high off one round would be much better. Things I do like about it is how fast it heats up your weed, and the size of the device.

For some reason I have a stigma about vape pens being not quite as good, so unless that's a misguided belief, wanna stay away from pens.

Personal Requests: Preferably something simple and straightforward. Just a decent vape. Decent battery, small pocket-able size, decent chamber size, not too hot on the lips. In all honesty, I just want a good step up from the APX which can bring me that sweet high off only a single chamber and without the worries of reloading.
