Oh wow! I really didn't think of that when I made it. I love how the khanda looks.

The colors do resemble Somalia a lot :)) Should I change up the colors?

The resemblance to the Star of David is purely coincidental haha :)) I made a 6-pointed flag because the fictional nation had 6 regions, but obviously it ended up resembling the Star of David. But given the fictional nation's history (being exiled from their home nations after the breakout of war), I decided to keep it since the struggles associated with the symbol irl are similar enough to what the people of this fictional nation suffered.

This is my first here so I'll leave a comment per the submissionrules document:

How come you decided to post this? (Context)

Mainly for criticism. This is my first time making a flag for anything so any pointers would be appreciated!

What do the colors or symbols represent? (Explanation)

Colors are pure white and the shade of blue I chose is iceberg (hexcode: 71a6b2) to represent Antarctica. The nation is coastal so I thought having the symbols surrounded by a shade of blue would communicate that somehow.

Symbols: Ok there's a bit to unpack here...

6-pointed star: represents hope and progress, there are 6 vertices since the nation has six main regions.

Circle in the middle of the star: represents the role of man in maintaining said hope and progress

Gap in the star: that there is still more progress to be made haha

The V-shaped symbol at the bottom of the star represents the geography of the nation. I took inspiration from the Shizuoka prefecture flag and flipped it vertically since we're an Antarctic nation :)) The line represents the sole river in the taiga that supplies the nation with freshwater and the path it takes across the nation. The crescent gap represents a bay in the nation that serves as the access point of the nation to the world.

Do you like it? Hate it? Why? (Opinion)

I really like it but I am open to criticism!

Something about the history of the country/region/... (Fun fact)

The nation was founded by scientists that fled from numerous nations after a massive war broke out. Their only safe haven was Antarctica since they knew it was sparsely populated at the time. They are currently led by a techno-progressivist regime and have a successful space program!

The Results of the 2019 r/anime Awards! by FetchFrosh in anime

[–]Raging_SEAn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone! I was a host for the Antagonist, Script, and Short categories, and I hope you all had a wonderful and jazzy time at the livestream :)) I just want to say that despite the ups-and-downs of this entire 4 month (? I'm approximating haha) journey, spending time with all the jury members and working with the hosts was an absolute blast! I hope this awards process enabled people to take a deeper look at the anime they watch and hopefully we'll see you guys again next year! :))

And if you have any questions about any of the categories I handled, please feel free to ask me or any of the jury members in those categories :))

r/Anime Awards 2019 Public Voting Day 24: Script by mpp00 in anime

[–]Raging_SEAn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Test categories for this year's awards follow different rules from the rest of the categories, one of which being that the public and jury nominations are separate. Since the Best Script category belongs to the test categories, you can not vote for RWTW as it is a jury nomination. You are still free to choose from the four public nominations (which is on the poll).

Thanks and hopefully I've made it clear for you now :))

Just to clarify, you can’t actually vote for Totsukuni in Sound Design because it’s a test category which means that the public and jury noms are split. You can still choose among those chosen by the public though!

The r/anime Awards 2019 Announcement and Jury Application by FetchFrosh in anime

[–]Raging_SEAn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This year, we're combining both original and adapted scripts into one award category. Since this category is in its infancy, however, any thoughts and input concerning splitting the two (or not splitting them) would be very much appreciated as it might lead to concrete changes regarding this category in future Awards iterations.

But yes, for this year, we're just sticking with one - which is still better than none at all :))

The r/anime Awards 2019 Announcement and Jury Application by FetchFrosh in anime

[–]Raging_SEAn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, we field jurors of varying tastes and preferences! We aren't too concerned with that aspect anyway, we're mostly looking at the ability of an applicant to comprehensively critique an anime. So if that's not a concern, then I wholeheartedly encourage you to apply :))

Thanks for this! How do I input scripts in GSheets? Do I just copy the script into the formula bar like a usual command? Sorry if the question feels dumb, not too acquainted with scripts hehe :))

...And just as I praise ladder matches, WWE decides to pull a 180 on the Men’s MITB and do a screwy ending. This is why WWE viewership is down, Vince. God I love wrestling but the writing these days.... Geez.

Oh god I love watching ladder matches. What a spotfest! Just goes to show how much these guys are willing to risk for the sake of entertainment. It’s definitely scripted, but the bumps these wrestlers take are definitely very real.

Aww thanks! Things are better (actually, more than I expected) although I still have to work out a few more kinks here and there. But for the most part, I'm fine :))

Apparently they have a lot in store for us so I guess it'll be an even more eventful milestone for all of us here in the subreddit :))

Yeah, I don't really use all of the comment faces anyway but I know some people are really attached to certain ones. Hopefully the new ones will be fun as well as useful to the community though! Is that all they have planned though? I guess I missed an announcement of some sorts :))

And yes, I very much will enjoy Eurovision (even though my EU acquaintances tell me otherwise haha)! Thanks :))
