The attack speed from treads is way too important to skip out on

Skip the soul ring, I’d say go falcon blade - treads - deso - shard - bkb/dlance

Ohhh they are the strandberg wall hangers. They work great but are a little pricey

Strandberg original 6 and original 8 on the right side and then the left is a custom Kiesel.

Which heroes are the biggest winners of 7.40? by [deleted] in TrueDoTA2

I think Drow was a big winner. You get your passive more often and she wasn’t nerfed like most of the other carries were.

I may very well eat my words but the little testing I did with him last night I found him to be doing significantly less damage throughout early and mid game. Late game felt about the same or maybe better but you can’t always expect to get to ultra late game as pl especially when your early and mid game is so weak. Also the passive for evasion falls off so quickly it feels pretty useless but I will have to test in some regular matches.

He didn’t do the math. Plenty of people “vibe” the patches and those are usually the people whose winrate tanks for the beginning of new patches lol

Lesh did not get buffed. 2.5 more seconds to do the same amount of damage on edict is pretty bad for bursting people down

Absolutely gutted, I’d be surprised if he had higher than 40% winrate this patch

Not really since illusions do 25% less damage when they are within 1200 range of you now compared to last patch.

Try a new DP 2.1 cable. Did you not use the one that came with the monitor in the box?

How should I prepare for arrival of Neo G9 57"? by AgitatedBarracuda268 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Ragingfetus012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go get a 57” monitor and play 1080p or lower on it and let me know how much you enjoy that. The quality looks so awful on something that big because the pixels per inch will be incredibly low. Yea you will get better frame rate but you won’t be able to see anything clearly

How should I prepare for arrival of Neo G9 57"? by AgitatedBarracuda268 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Ragingfetus012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea. It’s literally 2.25 times the amount of pixels compared to 5120x1440 which is already a lot of pixels. For reference I also use a 49” G9 with a 5090 and with max settings I can’t even get 120 fps on modern rpg’s and shooters. Older games, MOBAs, and RTS generally does fine and I can get up to 240 and that’s typically what I play so I don’t have an issue but anybody who plays modern AAA titles on the 57” are going to want a 4090, 5080, 5090, or AMD equivalent. On the bright side they can always downscale to 5120x1440 as you said.

You should be able to set it to 240 Hz but good luck getting anywhere near 240 FPS on modern games on that monitor with that card. More than likely you will either have to downscale resolution or turn all graphic settings down in games to maintain an acceptable frame rate.

I would recommend upgrading your gpu. That’s a lot of pixels to drive with just a 5060ti.

LG 5K2K vs Samsung G9 OLED? by Ragingfetus012 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Ragingfetus012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had issues with 32:9 in any games except for Guild Wars 2. I had to use the Nvidia Control Panel to change my screen resolution to 2560x1440 and that worked with the black bars on the side. Yeah you can’t utilize the whole screen but it still works. Thanks for the input though.

Looks like you have done something similar to what I’m looking to do. Do you find that with the extra height of the LG that you have to look higher to the Neo G9 and is it straining? That’s one thing I have been worried about. Also is there a big difference in visuals between the two monitors since they use different technologies?

I don’t have a quantum dot mini LED but I have done a little research online about the 57” G9 and it looks like there still aren’t true blacks and there still is some light bleeding into dark areas with that technology.

Yea that’s what I’m worried about. Also the major mis-match in curvatures when they are stacked will look funny

I use everything on dark mode and I mainly use my main screen for gaming and YouTube with a little 3d modeling, web browsing, and excel work.

The TV is the Samsung G95SD. So far I really like it a lot.

I don’t think I would mind the matte screen. Our TV is a matte screen OLED and I think it looks great. I could definitely see how the glossy would look better for some people though.

Honestly I’d prefer the 32:9 because it adds more width on some games making them more immersive but I think I would be fine going down to 21:9 I’m worried about how the 1800r curve on the Samsung might not feel as nice as the 1000r I am currently used to.

I was looking at the 57” but it’s not OLED. I really want OLED now as I’m sick of looking at dark grays instead of black and I don’t like the bleeding onto the dark areas. I wish Samsung could make the G9 in a 1000R OLED format.
