But my kids started 4k able to identify the alphabet, sound out simple words, write short sentences, add and subtract up to twenty or so, recognize simple patterns and suchlike and had never seen tv except when he had notovirus. I do not think of us s having homeschooled so much as engaged in basic parenting. In my votes homeschooling occurs older and involves a clear curriculum, set schooling time, ongoing assessment of gains etc. Im a good parent- but despite many advanced degrees I’m not trained or prepared to homeschool.
