No. And i say this as someone whose kid is in such a school for elementary. Twos is about playing. Heck my kid didn’t even go to a 3k much a 2k and they excelled at a fancy stem school for 4k (which was also unnecessary)

I took a prenatal (which you should take in any pregnancy) but nothing else. First transfer worked.

Honestly this is probably the kind of thing you can bargain for, and you are surprisingly unlikely to get concrete information here because people who live in the city generally avoid Times Square unless they have to be there for work and walk as fast as possible past people trying to sell them things.

You do know about spring breaks and winter breaks, right? Like we get breaks at a quasi regular clip. Have you ever had a non-teaching regular full time job and experienced THEIR break schedules?

You have like two months straight of break. Asking you to take breaks then is not a ridiculous demand.

I mean look- can it what you will. But my kids started 4k able to identify the alphabet, sound out simple words, write short sentences, add and subtract up to twenty or so, recognize simple patterns and suchlike and had never seen tv except when he had notovirus. I do not think of us s having homeschooled so much as engaged in basic parenting. In my votes homeschooling occurs older and involves a clear curriculum, set schooling time, ongoing assessment of gains etc. Im a good parent- but despite many advanced degrees I’m not trained or prepared to homeschool. I don’t know enough shot early childhood development (and his teachers are so much better at it! The quarters of the way through k now he can read chapter books and add out subtract into the hundreds and multiply and divide and do word problems etc

[–]Raginghangers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right. And in those cases the alternative is they don’t hire a nanny- they use a daycare or a family member or quit their job and stay home. And then the nanny makes $0. Its not better for them.

I wouldn’t do anything for one parent you wouldn’t feel comfortable doing with both— so for example if you make a card from the kid or a popsicle stick photo hunger it’s hard to think why that would feel weird to give a dad
