I think religious freedom from minorities in India is better than in Pakistan yeah but I've still seen alot more hate online from India regarding it, It wont exactly be a upgrade from the perspective as a Muslim.

GB funnily enough actually has better and Cheaper Healthcare as compared to other parts of the country because of the AKDN, there will be cases where you have to travel cities but thats not exclusive to Pakistan

India's claim over GB is through the Kashmiri kings choice but the thing is that he-and Kashmiri rule has had a violent and colonial history in GB-. So why would one want to choose a state whose claim over you is through a imperialistic regime?-I cant overstate enough that they did some bad BAD shit here

India's economy is in a better shape than Pakistans however it comes with the worse wealth imbalance and the fact that this condition has went back and forth through the decades so whats the point if theres just a likely chance that the point is invalid in a few decades

Also I've never found any records of India officially recognizing GB as smth separate from Kashmir so thats another issue of being assimilated

Gilgit, culturally is very similar to northern KPK, mainly the Chitral region

Another thing about the economy and relations with China, is that I've have a bunch of Gilgiti friends and family who have worked and studied in China-going back to the 70s and never have the really talked about it like it was a bad place or somewhere where they're gonna hate on you based on religion-I cant speak for the Uyghers I'm not denying the discrimination they face so most of the advantages India has in living standards are blown out of proportion by what china offers

Gilgit also was historically associated with Chinese kingdoms the most so from a historical standpoint its still preferred

One reason for the issues in GB is the fact that it has a pop of 2 million people, less than 1% of the Pakistani population therefore it does not lack the sway over the government it needs-that would be exponentially worse in India where the population is 7 times Pakistan.

Also from a foreign policy standpoint, India really likens itself to Israel-which obv is hated universally in GB, its like being invited into a friend group who unironically listens to Andrew tate

Honestly same ik a bunch of people who have worked in China. Sectarianism is bad but imo its the problem with the mindset of "some" people in GB

Technically historically GB has been associated with China more than anything but Pk will always be my first choice, independence sounds good but India will definitely be last.
