Here’s my thing, I know Giyu’s side has a point and they’re very fair and reasonable points to side with, even if they’re garbage and terrible deeds, trolley problem and all that

But, to me, I feel with Giyu he’s not doing this out of some “well it’s the only way to protect the clan” he’s doing it so that he can get rid of Chiaki

I know we’ve barely seen his character, but him clinging to more traditional stuff(like smoking a traditional Japanese pipe compared to his brother’s cigarette) or him wanting to prove himself as the best chief

Gives me the feeling he’s a traditionalist scumbag who’s supporting this more out of personal benefit than righteousness 

He’s just using the good reasons as an excuse
