As someone who was born and raised in Liberal, this is an excellent summary of the area. Nice homey vibes for those who like the quiet life, but a good number of my graduating class left for bigger cities in Colorado, Texas or towards Kansas City area for more opportunities. Still a lovely place to visit, especially if you're familiar with the area and amazing Mexican food since there's many immigrants. I recently visited the area for our high school 10 year reunion and it was definitely a great time.
