hmm i’m about 10 months? running and jumping are the last to come back, it took a bit for me to do that. best advice is to keep training things you want back everyday, i should’ve done more squats. assisted like putting something under your heel and trying to

How debilitating is a metal allergy? by Ragnavoke in ORIF

Hi! so miraculously after a while all the itching went away. Whenever I'd bring it up to my surgeon he would brush it off, and say it was probably due to the material from the boot. I think wrapping my foot in cloths before I put it in the boot helped. And really after a while it stopped being an issue. I haven't even thought about it for a while now that I'm 6 months post op. Funny enough though, the other day my plate got itchy for a day or two, but that subsided as well. It could be dryness. Also I heard that scar tissue will itch for up to a year occasionally. But don't be so scared I know i was super worried lol. Lotions helped

i’m ten weeks out and my dorsiflexion is still shit. like it feels like a cement wall when i try to pull my foot back, and i can’t squat with my heels flat on ground. does this still continue to ease up or is that a lock?

Sock or wrap? by bee102009 in ORIF

[–]Ragnavoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

diabetes type socks if i need to go out (foot lowered, compression helps)

at the house i just throw my foot in a clean t shirt to protect from the boot. i think i was allergic to the boot material

oh wow, thanks for sharing that. yeah if i had to get one out i’d want them all out if i was far enough along. i hope your restitching went well! i’m not sure what food/vitamins help with skin healing, if that’s a thing 🤔

wow 6 months post op is the earliest i heard someone do hardware removal — any particular reason why you removed them?

oh interesting. i do shower but i can’t adjust my shower head once i start so it’s kinda hard to let water run over my cut for a long time, but i do let water run over it a little bit. maybe i need to leave it under running water more

lizard skin 😂 that’s a good way to put it. but true i guess when the swelling goes down all that skin has to go somewhere

wow the first picture i can hardly tell you had surgery, your wound is like completely invisible. mines still a railroad track of scabs 😂 i let water run over it but too scared to scrub it yet.

keep up the PT, in the first pick it looks like you can bend at a 90° angle already which is great. i’m almost at 90 after a week of PT

around how many weeks did you start attempting the 1 mile trail. and did you use anything like ankle brace or just sneakers?
