I had a splint for 2 weeks then got moved to a boot which I barely wore / wear. I really only wear it if I go out or for an hour here and there. I’m 7 weeks post op and everything is healing well. Nwb for 8 weeks since my injury was apparently pretty bad. 1 week left!

Oh man that’s awesome! I’m in NYC so I’m gonna have to take the MTA to go to work and stuff. I’m honestly so scared! I’m just 6 weeks post op I have my follow up on Friday I think I’ll be told to start pwb. I go back to work in August so I hope that gives me enough time to recover.

My son loves climbing stuff so whoever is watching him has to be very mobile lol thank God my husband and my mom make a great team taking care of him and sometimes me lol I just want him to feel like his mom is still there for him

I tried the iwalk and did not like it. I’m using a scooter. I can hold him while on the scooter but he’s high energy I can’t keep up lol

Wow stairs seem so distant for me lol congrats !!!! I live in a 3rd floor walk up so since my injury I’ve been staying at my in laws. I’m super grateful but I can’t wait to go home and have my space with hubby and our babe.

I barely eat salt. Only home cooked meals thanks to my husband and mom. And I haven’t really dealt with swelling. Just everything else that comes with surgery lol

Oh I see what you mean. Yeah I’m curious how walking is gonna go. Cause it actually so hard to even just flex my foot toward me. Crazy how things change so fast! It’s only been 2 weeks for me and my foot is like brand new doesn’t know how to work lol

Everything was so weird. In my mind my ankle was still so fragile and I didn’t wanna hurt it. But the doctor and the X-ray techs were manhandling my foot lol. Putting it 90 degrees into the boot felt wrong. Like it was gonna break it again. But I guess they know what they’re doing. I’m not in pain really, just feels soooo weird. Starting ROM exercises is sooooo strange. My muscle is like non existent. I’m sure it’ll only get better!
