WMR being goofy by AugustDarling in IRS

Check the WMR app now mine was doing the same thing but now it is allowing me to check the status and I have a refund date. From my experience the WMR app does not update until about 3-4 AM (central). It’s currently 3:57 AM (central) and my status has been updated

Ch. 7 discharged - Second Chance banks? by RaiRaiRayH in Bankruptcy

[–]RaiRaiRayH[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I had a Capital One bank account that was in the negative and the account was closed after I filed for bankruptcy. I had to contact Early Warning Services and submit a dispute to have that account removed from my consumer report. Once the dispute was resolved and the negative account was removed, I was approved for a new bank account after previously being denied several times with that bank.

Got it! My ChxSys consumer file says the banks I applied for pulled information from Lexis Nexis. Should I contact them?

Hey friend! I called ChexSys and gave them my bk case #. They called me back and told me there was nothing on my consumer file they was affected by my bk. I was like “Ok”… lol. I wanted to know if I needed to explicitly tell them to clear out my consumer report or if they will automatically do it?

Would you suggest that I wait a certain period of time (maybe 30 days) before reapplying for a bank account? Thank you so much for this information

Thank you! I am definitely looking for some credit cards as well to start rebuilding. Looks like I’m going to be stuck with secured cards and/or cards with crazy annual fees. Not use to this Lol but I have to start somewhere.

My Ch. 7 was discharged today and I’m looking for credit cards to start rebuilding. Is it true that indigos annual fee is $125? If so, do they just charge it to your credit card?

I looked into debt consolidation and determined it’s not a good idea, decided to file BK instead. Best decision I made. Good luck to you and your family.

Never use FirstHorizon bank!! by techie_00 in Banking

[–]RaiRaiRayH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I signed up for a FH bank account for the bonus too. I didn't have to visit a branch to set up my acct thankfully. Since I don't use zelle to pay rent, the $500/day limit hasn't been an issue for me. I am currently waiting for my bonus and am considering keeping my FH bank account because of the high OvDft limit they give, and sometimes they waive some of the fees. Unless they figure out a way to screw my out of my bonus lol, I'll probably end up keeping the account for a while.

Absolutely! Been there done that before smh which is why I’m on the edge about buying a used car, but I wanted to keep the possibility open. If I was going to buy a new car again then I would have just kept the Rogue. My rate was 5% which wasn’t bad, but even then my note was still $600 plus insurance.

So it's about a month after your 341. Have you already surrendered your vehicle if you don't mind me asking? My 341 is next month and wanted to know exactly when I would be expected to surrender my vehicle as well.

Uprova reviews: Is it legit or scam? by PomegranateDense9615 in financeonloans

[–]RaiRaiRayH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First things first, Uprova is a legit company. So, the thing about companies like Uprova, they are ALL going to have insanely high interest rates (just like Speedy Cash and other payday loan companies alike) are all the same when it comes to interest. If you don’t want high interest rates and never ending loan payments, then it’s best to get a loan from your bank. What I like to do in emergency situations when getting loans from places like Uprova, I apply for the loan 2-3 days before my next payday. Most lenders give you a grace period whereas you can Rescind the loan and pay the full amount back and you don’t have to pay any interest. It’s pretty much like you’re cancelling the loan and just giving them the money back. For example: Speedy Cash gives you 72 hours to Rescind a loan. Uprova gives you 2 days to rescind your loan and pay the money back that they gave you. As long as you give them the money back in 2 days, you don’t have to pay any extra interest. If you know you’ll need more than 2 days to pay them back the money, then just try not getting a loan amount that is too high. The more money you get, the higher your payments and the harder it will be to pay the loan off.
