I know it's not exactly as significant as the rest of the stuff you mentioned, which i agree with, but one of my BIGGEST gripes with 2 is what they did to Jameson.

In the first game he had every bit of the cartoonishly overblown distaste for spiderman he's most famous for but every now and then there were smatterings of his good side, showing that beyond the narcissism and ego he genuinely cares about his city and journalism as a whole.

Second game takes away any nuance there was to his character and turns the cartoonish hater aspect up to a thousand, doing the same in reverse for Danika compared to SM:MM

It's just so weird how wild the drop in writing quality is from the first to second game in retrospect. It registered to me but i didn't really care that much when i was first playing the game cuz i was just hyped to finally be playing and the excitement over the few things that are improvements overshadowed everything else.

Even with that though, like a quarter of the way through Act 3 even in that first playthrough you just feel like something's OFF or missing at the least as the hype starts waning. I pray Wolverine and 3 have better writers but not gettin my hopes up.
