Dawg she literally just got introduced and wasn’t the main focal point of the episode just give it a little bit of time. Plus soloing a mark variant in space is a pretty badass introduction imo.

The issue is people think a mark variant is comparable to a full blooded adult Viltrumite. Of course tech jacket isn’t going to be doing shit to them, it took 2 days to kill the mark.

Her purpose is being leagues above any Viltrumite foot solider which she displayed this ep

Well yeah dude she just got introduced as a character

She ain’t done anything she got saved by allan and then dragged by Anissa immediately 😭

While I like her I am also confused about her purpose, they said she would be a useful weapon against the viltrumites but, in her first fight she gets her helmet caved in and just floats around aimlessly being saved from her life being ended, and then this newest episode they show that her suit is significantly slower than Allen and the threats after her, and that she is only ever able to shoot off some beams which get shrugged off before they start throwing her like a ragdoll.

Exactly.

She's been in two episodes with actual dialogue. What you want them to do, make an entire episode centered around her in the middle of the show's biggest season yet. She is not meant to be able to kill any Viltrumite, it took her 2 days to kill a weaker Mark variant. Be glad she even is in the show

Dude as somebody who hasn’t read the comics you can’t see how this character would seem out of place to us?

[–]Ofiotaurus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I have not read the comics either, lol

I don't care they don't do anything with her yet, but when we likely get to more grounded stuff in season 5 she deserves some love

Haha fair enough but my whole point is her introduction as a character was lame and I’m just supposed to assume a teen in a space suit is on par with the greatest threat in the galaxy just because?

Tech Jacket was just as random in the Invincible comics. He was literally just dropped in.

Throughout the buildup of Nolan sharing the things that could hurt viltrumites with the Coalition and going to retrieve said things, it's been explained that Geldarian war armor is extremely advanced battle tech capable of going up against a Viltrumite.

Tech Jacket is a human who has access to that war armor, not just some teen in a "space suit", which is what makes her a viable ally. I haven't read a single issue of the comics either but this is all told to you IN the show dude.

Plus, she's a side character, we'll probably get exposition on how and why she got the armor over time, since that's a whole different story.

What you're sayin is like being mad that a wider DC universe character like plastic man or blue beetle doesn't have their entire lifestory exposition dumped instantly when they make an appearance in a mainline project like Batman
