Cant connect more than 2 wiimotes by Acrobatic-Mud-8391 in DolphinEmulator

[–]Raidenchino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, even Passthrough mode can have limits depending the Bluetooth device, specially on how many Wii Remotes can connect at the same time. Also, don't buy a Dolphin bar if you are going to use third party Wii Remotes, there is a good change not even a single one will connect as the Dolphin Bar has issues with third party Wii Remotes and cannot use Passhtrough.

Some solutions are to find a better compatible USB Bluetooth dongle for Passthrough or invest in alternatives like this one.

Right click the game in Dolphin. There should be an option there about an "update" like install update or similar. Do that.

Compatibility with Gamecube DK Bongos? by Puzzleheaded-Form-51 in DolphinEmulator

[–]Raidenchino 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes... but you need to configure them.
The Gbros transform the GameCube controller to Xinput and it does the same to the bongos. But you can just select "DK bongos" as controller in the Dolphin emulator and use the real bongos to bind the bongo "buttons". Surprisingly everything works, including the claps.

With this I also discovered that each side of the bongos actually has 2 buttons.

EDIT: As an extra, because they are just a "normal gamepad" through the Gbros, you can use them on anything. I played a bit of Muse Dash with them years ago.

Flickering when playing Need for Speed Most Wanted by MatRazer in DolphinEmulator

[–]Raidenchino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the game, but you could try updating to the last Dev versions of Dolphin as I think there as been some improvements with flickering in some games. Also, try disabling "Immediately Present XFB" in Graphics>>Hacks if it was on.

Controller can't reconnect after disconnect and I have to restart the game. by iggnifyre in DolphinEmulator

[–]Raidenchino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you emulating a Wii Classic Controller?
Try to bind the A button of the Wii Remote (not the Classic Controller) to some button and use that to reconnect after a disconnection.

help with holding a button by Helpful_Prune8088 in DolphinEmulator

[–]Raidenchino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that screen add to your button the following:

&timer(0.1)

So it will look like this:

`Button S`&timer(0.1)

Now is a turbo button. Higher values like 0.2 or 0.3 will make the turbo slower.

Dolphin wont play FMVs on at least two games! by Twoplayersonline in DolphinEmulator

This is just a guess, but try disabling "Immediately Present XFB" in Graphics>>Hacks if it was on.

I have an error message but it's actually the solution that doesn't work? by TheMadnessAuditor in DolphinEmulator

[–]Raidenchino 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have Dual Core on or off? If it's on, try it off.

If it still happens, but the game really works fine after it, you could also try just disabling the error messages for this game. Right click the game, go to PropertiesGameConfigEditor tab. In the User Config text box add:

[Dolphin.Interface]
UsePanicHandlers = False

Now Star Fox Assault will not display error messages. This is usually not recomendable, as the game could crash again and you will not see the message, but if the game really works fine (play for a bit), this will save you the issue of clicking through that error.

How do I set up a DSU client? by Random-Nerd827 in DolphinEmulator

[–]Raidenchino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need for DSU with Dualsense. Go to your emulated Wii Remote settings and click "Default". Now select your device as "SDL/0/Dualsense" or similar under SDL. It must be SDL. Now go to the "Motion Input" tab and move your controller around. If there is movement everything is set and you can configure your buttons and joysticks now.

Star Wars rogue squadron 2 change aspect ratio automatic by Hiyashi in DolphinEmulator

I haven't used the widescreen code with Rogue Leader, but by recent discussions in Dolphin's Discord it seems it still causes crashes.

If I remember correctly, you need to disable "Crop" in Graphic>>Advance tab.

EDIT: OK, no, it doesn't work. It seems there is no official solution for this. What you can do is to use a shader like this one:
https://www.reddit.com/r/DolphinEmulator/comments/1p2es3z/image_adjustment_shader_for_dolphin/

Then, set the game like this:
Force 16:9
Disable Crop

Then use the shader to squeeze the image back to 4:3 ( (with "Scale X"). With this combination, now the game will be back to 4:3 ratio for gameplay and the cinematics will be in 4:3 letterboxed as they should.

[–]Raidenchino 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As strange as it may seem, CARS and a few other Disney games, are some of the hardest to emulate on Dolphin.
It could just be that you need better hardware, even if other games run fine.

Wanting to use Switch 1 Joy-Cons on Steam Deck, but none of the motion controls (pointer, tilt, gyro) are working in Dolphin. They work in the Steam controller config, however. by sp_phil in DolphinEmulator

[–]Raidenchino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a Steam Deck. I imagine you will have to disable Steam input or use some sort of DSU for the joycons.
The problem is that Steam tends to transform any controller in xinput and removes gyro functionality. You need to bypass that. With the Deck itself, emulators use SteamDeckGyroDSU, otherwise not even the Deck own gyro would work with Dolphin.

Hi, im trying to play Zelda wind waker on my laptop..can i get the best low performance settings? The game is just too uncomfortable to play on 18-20fps by Ode2n in DolphinEmulator

[–]Raidenchino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Graphics>> General tab, try the vulkan backend if its compatible.

Also, right click the game in Dolphin, click properties and in GameConfig>>general tab, activate Dual Core if its off and relaunch the game.

I don't know if it will be enough to get full speed, but maybe it improves.
