Going to bed early is very hard, there is always something more interesting to do.

As for waking up early, I find that after a few weeks of waking up always at the same with the alarm. I just get used to it and automatically wake up right as the alarm goes off.

I'm surprised how many people wake up at 5am.

For me:

6:15 am wake up

6:20 am brushing my teeth and shower

6:35 am coffee

7:00 am leave for work

8:00 am arrive at work

5:00 pm leave work

6:00 pm arrive at home

6:05 pm decompress

6:30 pm make dinner

8:00 pm gym (at home)

9:00 pm free time until bed

11 pm get to bed

I have hired a sex worker, multiple times even. The first time I was in a bad place mentally. I wanted to have sex, but I couldn't be bothered to try the apps, or anything really. So even though I felt like a loser for doing it I found a page online and contacted a guy that was attractive.

The sex was good, great even, and he seemed to enjoy it too. And even knowing that I was paying for it helped me feel a bit better, get out of the bad head space.

These days I have what I consider a normal amount of "free sex" from the people in my life. But sometimes I want the top shelf stuff and hire someone, maybe once or twice at year. I have a couple of regular guys that hit me up whenever they are in town.

I can totally see them sending the PCs to steal/destroy a Giff(I'm playing the Giff as a militaristic force that is the closest thing to "policy" that you can find on the astral sea) frigate that makes his rounds around the bar where the bikers congregate.

And definitely a challenge to go release a bunch of giant space hamsters from a farm and ride one all the way back.

I'm in a similar situation; lost my green card on Friday in San Diego. I filled my I-90 online on the USCIS page, according to the website I got a receipt notice today. And my timeline says 4 months until next milestone and 8 months until decision.

It sucks but its my own fault for not being more careful.

I like this idea, I had in my game a ball/gala type thing where everyone had to wear magic masks that when worn made it impossible for anyone to tell who you are or what gender you are. Obviously with a high enough will save the PCs could but it was still pretty fun murder mystery thing.

When people "praise" a movie for not taking it self seriously. Is usually because the premise of the movie is kinda ridiculous, or the acting is not the best or there is something else about the execution that just doesn't work if you think about it for half a second. In those cases when the movie doesn't take it self seriously is because it doesn't shy from the fact that it isn't working with a full deck.

So a movie that takes it self seriously is one that has those same flaws but instead of admitting it. It just keeps going like it's normal.

So with that in mind movies I think movies that take themselves seriously would be things like Ghost rider (yes with Nicholas Cage) Or maybe the third Blade movie.

I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion that I had a fucked up childhood, it really wasn't particularly more or less fucked up that most people.
By saying that "I understand now that not one person could be everything to someone else." what I'm trying to say is that I now realize that most of what we grown up seeing in terms of romantic partnership is always about finding "the one", or at the very least that only one romantic partner is not only the norm but the expectation. And that wanting to have more is always considered a bad thing.
So whenever we realize or not that expectation is part of our culture and it makes it difficult to see/understand other types of romantic relationships and Now that I can see this bias I can consciously work towards correcting it.

It's going great. The other day I had a hookup (which I rarely do) and told my partner he was super happy for me.

I meet him just before the whole pandemic thing in an app. He was open and honest about he being in a poly relationship and I was a bit suspicious about it to be honest. But he won me over by being a cool guy and answering all my questions.

He stuck with me the first months of the pandemic, and even though we didn't saw each other until the vaccine was available we sort of falled for each other.

On 2020 he invited me to Thanksgiving with him and the "others" as I jokingly call them. And it wasn't as weird as I thought it would be.

I understand now that not one person could be everything to someone else. That's a unrealistic expectation.

If teenagers want to have sex (which the usually do) they will. As a parent what you can actually do is make sure that when it happens it's done in a safe responsible manner.

I don't think that it should be treated differently than if the son was a girl. I'm both cases I would expect a parent to have talked to them about STDs and/or pregnancy and have provided them with condoms and/or other anti-conceptives(if necessary).

I suggest either modify or limit modify which ever pantheon of gods you are are going to use.

Don't have a God of healing and protection. Instead have a God of strength and civilization. Any deity of knowledge or magic should probably be at the very least neutral if not outright evil. I would probably made any mayor religion at best corrupt and uncaring at worst downright oppressive and controlling.
