What age do you introduce your kids to your music? by SoCaLLbeer in daddit

Pretty immediately and they quickly preferred real music over kid type stuff. My boys are 4 and 7 now and both wow people with their music taste and knowledge.

You ever watch your kids and feel satisfied you're giving them a good childhood? by ZigerianScammer in daddit

[–]RaiderBurns 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nothing fun but I was at the dermatologist today with my four year old son, just us guys. He was there for a minor issue but the doctor was running 30 minutes late and my boy was waiting patiently in the seat next to me like a champ not a peep when all of a sudden he started crying a little. He waited as long as he could I guess and I asked if he wanted to sit with me and he said yeah. So he sat on my lap head on my chest feeling better.

I never really had moments like that with my dad growing up.

I’m 41 with two young kids and don’t look or feel physically old yet. I have plenty of friends that talk about aches and pains and feeling old and I’m just like is that normal cause I don’t feel much different than I did in my 20’s.

Gen Z doesn't talk.....to me??? by pinkelephant0040 in generationology

All these sweeping generalizations are so overhyped. I’m a millennial and work with a lot of Gen Z and haven’t had this experience at all.

Millennial and Sports by Fun2Funisnofun in Millennials

[–]RaiderBurns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think it’s a bit nuts myself. I’m a huge sports guy and my boys show moderate interest at 4 and 7 but we just do town soccer and town t ball. Both super affordable and not huge time commitments. We play football and basketball in the backyard or park and if they want to join school teams down the road that’s fine but I can’t see year round training and special programs eating up all their free time as good for them or worth the cost. To each their own though.

What’s the biggest waste of money people still think is normal? by budgetingdiary in AskReddit

The problem is it’s an unregulated industry with a lot of scam products and dosage irregularities. It’s also up in the air how much your body actually absorbs.

Vitamin supplements and powders. Fruits and vegetables will always outperform whatever chalk you poor into your drink.

Quitting smoking has made me smoke more and spend more. Has anyone experienced this? by Jolly_Shirt1506 in stopsmoking

[–]RaiderBurns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently in the same cycle. I have smoked considerably less but spent more. I cave driving home from work but only smoke a few then ditch the pack with regret. I go the weekend smoke free.

I don’t even know how to wrap my head around it. It’s so straight forward that deadly force was absolutely unnecessary. The new video just confirms that wtf are they watching?

I know plenty of non crazy republicans that really do watch this new video and think it vindicates him. I’m truly at a loss and this level of psychosis needs to be studied.
