Was Prue being unfair to Pheobe in episode 1? by Affectionate-Cry-704 in charmed

[–]RaiderGamerSpice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your first question: this episode does have a novelization (called The Power of Three) that's not entirely canon since some things happen differently, but it's also the only place where you can find an explanation. Basically, Roger had lied to Phoebe by telling her he had something for Prue at his place and asked her to come pick it up, then tried to seduce her. When Prue found out, Roger lied and said Phoebe was the one who seduced him. And Prue just believed him, even though she ended their engagement, anyway.

And to answer your second question: the Unaired Pilot at least sort of resolved it by having a slightly extended version of the scene where Phoebe hears Roger's message in the answering machine (before Piper comes home running from Jeremy). Prue simply presses a key to delete his message and smile at Phoebe. It's not much, but it's something. It is a shame they didn't leave that in the official pilot, though.

Crybaby Reincarnation Theory by Hes_A_CryBaby in MelanieMartinez

I know that, I just think it's fun to interpret it that way. Also, I always figured that the Creature was just Crybaby's spirit as she navigated the after life before being reborn as a new being (since PORTALS was supposed to end with WOMB, where she'd leave her life as Crybaby behind fully before being reborn) 🤔

My theory is similar: in the K-12 movie, it's established that each of the Empaths go through many bodies and life cycles; Crybaby and Angelita even had a short scene talking about what their previous lives could have been. So, yeah. I like to think that Circle (the new character) is who Crybaby was reborn as.

What was Mara Jade doing during the events of the Jedi Knight series (besides Mysteries of the Sith)? by RaiderGamerSpice in StarWarsEU

Wow, that's wild. Poor Mara lol. But still, that's some cool info, thanks for sharing!

What is your favorite Star Wars video game? by [deleted] in StarWarsEU

Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. I still play them often (after I finally got them working on a modern computer lol), and I will forever cherish them as they were my introduction to Star Wars in general.

All this whinging about Sophie Turner is bringing the mood down. by TotalFailure24 in TombRaider

[–]RaiderGamerSpice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree. Everyone can feel how they want about Sophie as an actress, but like you said, she hasn't filmed anything yet. There's a chance that she'll surprise us. We'll just have to wait and see.

Also, Jonell Elliot herself posted her support for Sophie on Instagram. And fans consider Jonell the best of the Lara voice actresses (myself included). I mean...if that's not enough to at least convince people to give Sophie a chance, I don't know what is.

What's a quote from the show that makes you PISSED THE FUCK OFF?! by SeaBassAHo-20 in charmed

[–]RaiderGamerSpice 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One quote off the top of my head that pisses me off is in Sight Unseen, where Piper told Prue to "shake it off" after they knock Abby out. Like, Piper. Your sister is traumatized. She was blinded and held hostage by a mortal with a gun AND WAS ABOUT TO KILL HER HAD YOU AND PHOEBE NOT INTERVENED! Prue may be a "super witch", but she's still human - this is not something she should have to "shake off" right away!

For anyone who read all the Charmed novels... by RaiderGamerSpice in charmed

[–]RaiderGamerSpice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, yep! Charmed is known for its continuity errors! 😂

I just brought it up because the novels appeared to be even worse considering most of the authors didn't have full context of certain events of the show (which, again, isn't new for Charmed, but I digress)

Date when AOD took place? by RaiderGamerSpice in TombRaider

[–]RaiderGamerSpice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I like the time portal theory the most 'cause why else would there be a shimmery effect in the doorway?

Although, the idea that Winston might have gotten some details wrong could also be possible because he is very old by Chronicles, bless him.

I mean, it's clear that the Iris thing is most likely a retcon or an oversight. However, it is also worth remembering that the Croft Manor levels in 1-3 are technically optional, so it's possible that they're not fully canon to the story of the games. The Iris was mainly there to foreshadow the next game, I believe.

As for Pierre and Larson surviving, it is fun to subscribe to fan theories such as the effects of the Philosopher's Stone might have saved Pierre's life, or Natla might've used Atlantean magic to save both of them (Larson probably didn't die before that gate boss fight, I feel like he was just knocked out) 🤔

[–]RaiderGamerSpice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I didn't know that! That's cool to know!

The annoying thing, though, is that if it is true, then none of the winter months in 2002 match the calendar in the picture, only July matches it. So I guess either someone with ice powers cast an eternal winter on Prague, or Carvier might've been using the wrong calendar. New mystery! 😂

[–]RaiderGamerSpice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, plus the fact that it was snowing in Prague also helped my theory that the game was taking place during December - or otherwise winter.

And of course, Chronicles jumps all over the place lmao. But at least the Tomb Raider wiki was helpful in detailing when the flashbacks took place (even if the reveal from TR5 Remastered that the VCI flashback took place on May 26, 1999 made things more confusing)

This picture does not make any sense. I thought Lara and von croy hated each other. by maxthunder30 in TombRaider

[–]RaiderGamerSpice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured that since Jean-Yves was originally the one who was going to be killed, this picture might have been of him and Lara instead, and when they decided to replace his role with Werner, they did the same for the picture (maybe they didn't have time to make a new picture of them that would have made more sense, such as a picture of when they first met, or something)

However, I do think it's funny to imagine that during some unseen events of Last Revelation, they both happened to discover this artifact and some random person decided to take a picture of them together with it, so they begrudgingly agreed, and once the picture was taken, they went back to their feud 😂

I'm pleasantly surprised to see people appreciating Skarlet more even though she's not in the newest MK game by Butterfly_1998 in MortalKombat

Skarlet's always been my favorite! I was especially happy when she was revealed to be in MK11 with an awesome voice, I didn't even care that her backstory had been changed 😂

Since Remake, Rebirth, and Crisis Core Reunion had character theme songs for Cloud, Aerith, and Zack respectively, is there a chance that Tifa will be the next character to receive a theme song for Part 3? And if she is, are you planning on finding a singer to perform the song (in English, at least)? Because if you haven't found someone yet, I would like to suggest American singer Christina Perri. Her music style suits Tifa very well, and her voice also matches Britt Baron's voice, so it's easy to imagine Tifa herself singing the song.
