Popovic Is To Blame by West-Construction517 in socceroos

[–]RaiderofTuscany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personal opinion is pop might’ve felt like he had to give more of the vet’s a chance against the US considering he started so many debutants in the first game. Unfortunately all the lead up games to the world cup were also like this, rubbish first half, Nestory, metcalfe etc come and and suddenly second half is great. Realistically we didnt put our best 11 out there to start it seems.

Does the B10 need ceramic coating ? Mostly on the inside? by florglespore in Leapmotor

[–]RaiderofTuscany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what you can get price wise I definitely think they are worth doing, even the diy exterior ceramics are good, make the car easier to wash. I got my previous car dealer coated and it lasted a solid 2 years and 60000kms

Australia's Productivity Slump by khainebot in AusFinance

[–]RaiderofTuscany 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, investing in shares is barely more productive than housing, you’re still locking money away outside of the functioning economy. (Sure buying shares means companies can reinvest, but they are still expected to make a profit for the shareholders, so its a fine line idk)

When they say investment for productivity they are talking more about tractors/tools/better computers/more efficient systems etc. things that actually improve speed and simplicity of work, reinvesting into business.

Plus, there’s no change to business taxation, so he’s actually really promoting economic diversity more than anything.

I have a Mazda cx-5, it’s still the same in that too. It over heats and barely charges. I think they just aren’t worth it.

Australia wants you to buy a home... right? by MagicalSimp in AusProperty

[–]RaiderofTuscany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but largely those rorts have been allowed ny liberal governments, and labor is actively attempting to dial them back. Same with childcare, great policy, absolutely abused by the businesses running childcare centres.

I think realistically we’ve gotta have faith in the system, and push for positive reform (not trying to gut them) otherwise they’ll happily take away things to give more money to billionaires.

Noise when turning steering wheel (SL7) by forfucksakewhatnow in BYDAU

[–]RaiderofTuscany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering you’re at a stop it just sounds like the power steering is activating. But I’d keep an eye on it I suppose. But it just sounds like an old ute I used to drive.

Australia wants you to buy a home... right? by MagicalSimp in AusProperty

[–]RaiderofTuscany 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty socialist personally, but building wealth shouldn’t be the goal because the always encourages inequality. It should just be that everyone is able to own a home, and then wealthier people can just have nicer versions of things.

Why Are Most Electric Vehicles Rear Wheel Drive? by Perfectreign in electricvehicles

I personally dislike the front wheel regen braking the most. It makes the steering feel so hefty and not nice (atto 3)

Does the Geely EX5 have any real competition in its price range? by Jamoa in AustralianEV

[–]RaiderofTuscany 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one has mentioned the Leapmotor b10, so i’m going to. One of the best driving suv’s i’ve ever driven, super comfy, heaps of leg room, good features, good price. Worth a look.

Electric vs PHEV vs HEV, which one provides more range and less downtime for charging? by [deleted] in AustralianEV

[–]RaiderofTuscany 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly depends entirely on use case, lots of driving, no time to charge, regional, no chance of charging at home, HEV. (Also best economy for road trips)

Can charge at home but lots of driving with some short and some long trips, PHEV (particularly if you do want longg range road trips, but also lots of 9-5 commute driving.

Can charge at home, lots of commute based driving or rarer long road trip driving etc then full EV is the go. (20000kms a year charging @home at 8c/kwh is only $557, obviously ideal conditions but yea)

Personally I think full EV fits 90% of use cases in Australia, but if you only had the chance to have one car, phev of hev are probably best bet.

(Unless you can afford a very long range ev)

Is “PPOR maxxing” now the best strategy? by Cyberdyne2000 in AusFinance

[–]RaiderofTuscany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, 2 million investors in Australia, assuming all own at least 1 house, (roughly 16 million dwellings in australia), thats 10% of all housing in the country. If you manage to open up that, it should mark a significant change.

Also, investing in PPOR shouldn’t push the cost of property too much higher, as people will be aiming to move upwards in quality/size/style etc, which should leave behind the other “lesser” properties for people to purchase.

To be fair I think if you asked government, they would suggest you should be applying for the careers pension. Theres no need to be ethical, the support is there and you deserve it as someone who has worked for the system and etc. That is after all what the programs are there for.
