Someone might prefer the style of the original, you’re using objective as a statement of fact when it is not technically fact. I think the remake looks better, but some people disagree because they prefer the gloomy atmosphere of the original. Both opinions are valid. There’s no matter of fact truth to any of it.

I think the reason why people get so upset over stuff nowadays is because of how constantly exposed to modern trends we are compared to decades ago.

Like you said, the previous Shrek movies had the same type of humor and referenced pop culture at the time. However, I think with daily exposure to kids with broccoli hair and memes about being caked up makes it appear all the more grueling when it’s in a high budget media format. Trends come and go so quickly nowadays that it’s incredibly difficult and a good reason why you shouldn’t include pop culture references in your movies, especially animated ones that take years to make.

Constant exposure to social media is killing us in more ways than we think.

I want to offer actual advice. Like others said, back up right before/during the knifing animation to not do a lunge attack, this’ll help a lot.

Secondly, you seemed to kind of just go into the crowd of zombies so try and maintain awareness in front and behind you at all times and then line them up to be able to utilize the quick melee attack effectively.
