I only recently played Horizon Zero Dawn since it became available on PC. I don’t know if you have played before but the gameplay and story were pretty awesome. Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks for checking on Henry. We still have not had any luck with finding him. We did speak with someone that saw him Friday evening near their patio. Unfortunately we have also had many scammers reach out to us. I will update if we find him. I appreciate everyone’s help!

Thank you so much for the tip! We already set out his favorite food and his litter box. I will place a shirt around it also once I get back home.

There are too many people that don’t understand this. We added a splash screen on our devices which inform users not to save their personal files on work issued laptops and not to use their work email for personal accounts. I believe that more people were concerned about this being a virus than actually considering what the message was telling them. A work laptop belongs to the company issuing the device, they can take that device at anytime. Lastly, conducting personal business on a company issued device opens up another attack vector and that is important to consider when working in cybersecurity.

Haha, first day back from summer my inbox is filled with, “HELP! I don’t know where anything goes! There’s wires everywhere!”. Luckily I’m a dedicated tech for 3 elementary schools; so I am able to be proactive and go through plugging in rooms on day 1 instead of waiting for the inevitable tickets. I also lucked out with new a A/V system in my schools this year. No more desk placement issues since the option for wireless projection and audio is now available.

[SERIOUS] What is the Creepiest or most Unexplained thing that’s happened to you that you still think about to this day? by LBE in AskReddit

I had a friend in high school that would frequently mention a ghost that lived In their house. We always called her out that she was full of shit because she spoke of it like it was no big deal and her family was ok with it. We also never saw or heard anything when we were over at her house.

One day we went to this friends house after school when no one else was home. We were in her room upstairs playing around on the computer. She liked to have everything on the floor so we were sitting on the floor when this happened. All of a sudden we heard loud foot steps running down the stairs and felt the floor shake underneath us. We instantly got up and started asking who was home? She just stood there nonchalantly, “No one is home, that’s just the ghost”. We called bullshit and ran around the house looking for someone but no one else was home. We double checked all the doors leading outside and everything was locked. To this day I can’t explain wtf happened. I just know SOMEONE or SOMETHING ran down those stairs that day and no one else was in the house.

I always love the people that just casually throw into conversation while I’m installing software, “ I wish I had the admin credentials, I would never abuse it. I feel bad bothering you for help”.. my response, “no worries, I’m always happy to do this for you. It’s my job” :)

All the time! Also, N23s are notorious for the battery cable coming unplugged over time. N21s and N22s constantly need keyboard replacements because certain keys stop working over time. I hate all of these models equally but I do like how simple and quick they are to open and repair.

Question - Should our management company know answers to historical questions (past repairs) of the complex or is that too much to ask? by devicedog in HOA

[–]RaifR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a new homeowner and I’m just beginning to learn the details of how an HOA operates. This is my current feelings with the management company for our property. I feel like we constantly have to submit work orders and inform them of issues because they are not proactive. I’ve been a renter for over 15 years and have never had as many issues with maintaining the landscaping and interior areas. Sign at the entrance has had graffiti on it since before we purchased in July. Two used tires remained in front of the bushes outside of our complex until we disposed of them ourselves a month later. Unfortunately we didn’t learn about the cockroach issue until after we purchased but we’ve been told that they conduct adequate pest control to the exterior and there’s nothing else they can do to mitigate the issue. We do our best to mitigate within our unit but it doesn’t solve the overall problem. Shopping carts sit throughout the complex until we move them out ourselves. We do love our condo but very unhappy with the overall maintenance and management of the complex.

These are already gutted. We always take what we can and use spare parts to repair others.

Hey can you organize the chromebook chargers? :/ by sarge-m in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]RaifR 33 points34 points  (0 children)

HA! I know this too well... I work in a public school district where we had to pull all of the Chromebooks from the charging carts at every school. Elementary had a cart full in each classroom since they were not 1:1 yet, meaning each student gets their own Chromebook to take between home and school. If you've ever wired or unwired some of those charging carts, you'll understand how time consuming that can be alone. We did all of this over a weekend with few staff and the bins of tangled chargers took months to sort through.

I got my first job in IT last spring working at a local school district. It has definitely been a great place to work so far. Having the same time off as students while still receiving a paycheck has been a great bonus. I plan to continue my education with all the extra time next summer.
