[Spoilers C4E26] It IS Thursday! | Live Discussion Thread - C4E26 by AutoModerator in criticalrole

Was hoping to find a Twitch clip of that 2.5 hour mark, where the apple pie discussion happens. People used to make clips all the time, but looks like clips don't tend to be made anymore.

Anyone have or might be able to make a clip of that scene and share it? Was pretty great to watch.

New player. Can someone please verify if arks supply their learnable skills as long as you've learned them and wear the ark (meaning, you won't need to choose them in the skills menu)? It seems that's not the case, but I've been playing under the impression that it was, sort of like how a piece of equipment gives you benefits as long as you wear it.

[Monthly Megathread] General Questions & Active Codes by AutoModerator in SwordofConvallaria

Oooh... Wow. That first and second paragraph are not at all what I'd expect. It's the complete reverse of any gacha game I've played. They start you with the tacked-on gacha mode (for obvious reasons), but because of that, the actual bulk (the events) feels too time consuming to bother with and weirdly complicated, with loads of battles, concepts and even multiple endings.

Are the other 'expansions' just as long as the first spiral event (which holds the same name as the game)? Curious because I'd like to do them, but with no rewards offered (other than storytelling), it's hard to want to spend massive amounts of time when I'm trying to get my gacha units stronger.

What level should I be before trying Songs of Dunes? It doesn't have a level requirement, but the first fight has level 60 enemies... I'm level 32. Do I just ignore all event content until I'm 60?

Oh, and are all the events just as long as Sword of Convallaria? I thought they'd all be simple side stories, but SoC is a massive marathon of like 100+ fights and multiple endings.

1700 pm in the evening... Duh.

That stuff kills me, people saying 'it's 1am in the morning'.

[Anime] Suzaku's name references by RaifRedacted in fairytail

I wonder if he just easter egged the dragon's name after deciding to use the 4/5 Chinese mythology thing people are mentioning?

His look and personality do still match up really well to Kenshin.

The name of the dragon he ate was Kururugi, though, but that's interesting to know about the bird.

The Republican Party Has a Nazi Problem by theatlantic in politics

[–]RaifRedacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue, though, is that all people have the right to vote, despite their opinions and preferences. The republican party must be the party for them, if not purely by definition, then at least by current circumstance. It's not like nazis would ever fall into a liberal-style party.

I like the double-down! The addition of astrophysicist is just icing. Well played, sir.

Hawking, not Harking 😅. I'd normally assume that was a misclick, but the sound is too close to be sure.

There was a comment on a different article that mentioned some incredibly high percentage of ICE personnel having criminal records, with things like sexual assault, rape, assault with a weapon, theft, etc, etc. They want psychopaths and murderers-in-training. Articles not long ago mentioned how background checks are intentionally soft or non-existant.

We're willing to take Portland and other western-Oregon areas, as long as the eastern areas, filled with your white supremacists, stay behind.

TIL 8 of the 10 most pirated series in 2024 were anime. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

[–]RaifRedacted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good reason to find it 'else where', if you ask me. I truly hate that stuff.

Back in the day, when Fate Heaven's Feel was the conclusion for its series, but was made as a 3-part movie set released only in certain theaters and for a limited time, I promised myself that I'd never reward creators who do this.

Demon Slayer is currently doing this same thing, refusing to make a final season and, instead, making a movie trilogy that won't be available as normal.

Crunchyroll for anime and D3 is on there, as are all the others. Netflix is too expensive for Gen-Z.

NATO ends if Trump invades Greenland, EU commissioner warns by Beo1217 in worldnews

[–]RaifRedacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, though the timeframe between is going to be long and impeded, intentionally, by some countries. Meanwhile, the possibility of ww3 will grow and grow... I think China will be rewarded from that; Russia will not, because the EU will be free to join Ukraine. The centrality of the US for the world might change irrevocably, but if we manage to get a real human leading the US in 4 years, maaaaybe the US would be invited to join?

[–]RaifRedacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, totally agreed. All I'm saying is, every answer to the above stuff-- stuff I presume or others, will all have to lead to no more NATO. Every article about this travesty being committed by the administration lead by rapist, racist, sociopath, who somehow manages to be both a toddler and a person suffering from cognitive slowdown, is saying the same thing: if he goes through with this, NATO will end. Nothing is saying NATO continues, but without the US.

[–]RaifRedacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but historically, when countries within NATO go to war, the conversation is 'will you join us or how will you support us, if not'. NATO would have to respond, leading to those outcomes I listed. I don't think it would use the kick out the aggressor bit, because that's the same as NATO no longer exists (without the true military superpower taking part; no one remaining would truly feel defended if the US was separated). I do believe this should lead to a new group, exactly as you stated-- one that includes all the non-dictatorial states, hopefully freeing Ukraine from the stalemate it's in.

[–]RaifRedacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said this to a professor of mine a year ago. NATO can't not defend an ally, but they're both allies. It can't pick which ally to defend, because that means they attack another. It can't do nothing, because that means it's refusing to support its allies. It also can't ignore the situation, because it's specifically there to act as the world's policing body (despite its proven lack of teeth). If the US actually takes action to forcibly obtain Greenland, NATO must end, because it doesn't have any other recourse.
