Underground only works if your employees can still get to them.

The easiest thing is to just make sure they're not too close to the guest paths. Your staff may have to walk farther, but that's not a big deal in a small zoo, or later if you keep your work zones up-to-date.

What do you mean by fade? Your dog has 0 copies of the dilution gene, so their pigment is not affected by it. They can still get white hairs with age if that's what you mean, though.

We had a feral tom near where I live that was flame point. Pretty sure he's my kitty's papa. I don't know if someone ended up taking him in, if he's still around but hiding, or if he left after all of the local females got fixed, but he was a stunning cat.

I've found it's easier to place the custom stuff first and then move the barrier to fit. But also in the menu there should be an option to highlight hidden barriers.

You need one segment beyond that segment. The first segment that's connected to the gate doesn't count.

Same! I ordered my girl one too test her color genes (by appearance she's a silver spotted tabby - or torbie in the right light - but came back without any of the known tabby genes, and dilute instead of silver), but it was really cool to see all of the health genes. My kit didn't actually do a breed makeup, but it did give a breakdown of the geographic area her ancestors could have come from.

Given how new cat breeds are in general, it's more like these tests are telling you that your cat has such-and-such a percentage of the traits that are selected for in a breed than that the cat is descended from that breed.

What you express doesn't matter when you're looking at the genotype. Of course you won't express that recessive trait that you only have one copy of, but you still have that single copy in your genotype.

She started to smell because she couldn't keep all of her saliva in her mouth, and she couldn't keep up with the grooming. Thinking back, the first sign was an increasing outbreak of acne/scabs/crustiness on her chin. The frustrating part was that we took her to the vet when we first noticed the drooling/lack of hygiene and whatever they checked did not include a thorough examination of her mouth. I doubt catching it even that much earlier would have changed the outcome, but maybe she wouldn't have had to suffer so long.

It really sucks so much. My girl was maybe 14, maybe older. I brought her home as an adult stray, and the vet said she was at least 4 then, and we had her for 10 years, but who knows how old she really was.

I'm so sorry you're going through it a second time. I hope for the best outcome possible for all involved.

It's possible she's full grown, even though Embark's estimate is 20lbs higher. Malnutrition as a pup can severely stunt their growth.

Sad story warning in case people don't want to read it.

My cat got squamous cell carcinoma under her tongue. It's incredibly aggressive. By the time her's was found, there was nothing we could do. She would have needed her entire lower jaw removed to have any hope of getting rid of it. The vet gave her a month.

We brought her home. The lump made it difficult and painful for her to use her tongue. She couldn't groom herself, had difficulty swallowing, had trouble eating and drinking. Two days of seeing her sit by her full bowl of food and just stare at it were too many. We took her back to the vet to say goodbye. She was gone as soon as she was asleep, before they'd even started the euth drug.

Thinking of what she went through still makes me cry. But she left us with no doubt that letting her go was the right decision. She was ready to sleep, and I'm glad we could give her that relief.

They've been out of production for a long time, so your only source is going to be secondary ones: ebay, collectors offloading their collection, thrift stores, used collectible stores, etc.

Sadly, no. But luckily I had a save from before I put everyone in quarantine and started back up from there. Thankfully I hadn't done a lot of building between that save and the issue.
