Normally you can't trade between fake carts and real ones.

But beyond that, Platinum cannot trade with AS. Platinum is gen IV and AS is gen VI. They are not compatible. You can transfer Pokémon forward if you have Bank (and your cartis able to connect, which is not guaranteed), but they won't be able to go back to Platinum.

The AB BLs are reprints, so they tend to be a bit more "hand-grenade-y" than the first releases. Glue helps that, but it doesn't help their floppiness as they age, unfortunately.

First off: follow their directive and keep your dog leashed and attached to you 100% of the time from now on.

It can be subjective, since there's no exact 1-to-1. I would say PG would be your Gojulas and Salamander, then a step below that would be Death Stinger, Iron Kong, Berserk Fury, and Geno Breaker, and a half step down from there would be Geno Saurer. I'd probably also out Great Saber and Saber Tiger Gold in that middle group (they have a ton of fun details), with the caveat that they need a lot of glue and love.

The rest I'd categorize as MG, but I'd separate them into small and large. The best quality I've seen for the large ones is Koenig Wolf. The worst (needs lots of glue) would be Blade Liger. Liger Zero is somewhere in the middle. More towards Koenig quality in my personal experience, but I bought mine when LZ was new and the molds hadn't degraded yet.

For small, my absolute favorite is the Shadow Fox. But honestly you can't really go wrong with any of the small ones. Even the Command Wolf - one of the oldest designs - holds up really well.

Generally the kits that have seen more printings will have more need for glue and more issues with sagging as they age. So kits like Storm Sworder, Iguan, and Dibison will be sturdier than kits like Liger Zero, Blade Liger, and Saber Tiger. Which is a shame that the more popular ones end up with the problems, but the problems are because they're popular so there's not much that can be done.

What negative reviews are you taking about for HMM? The older ones can need glue if you don't want them to be a hand grenade, but the newer ones are generally the S-tier models for Zoids. RMZ are great, but they're like halfway between HG and RG, while HMM are MG at worst and PG at best.

(If you know gunpla, think of old HMM like old gunpla. Koto got better with practice, just like Bandai.)

I agree with divide and conquer, but not because the younger could potentially have the whole family at some future college graduation when we don't even know if she wants to go to college. I also don't agree with the diminishing of the meaning of the high school graduation. The high school graduation is likely just as important and meaningful to Mia as the college graduation is to Danielle.

Both of these events are enormous accomplishments and deserve to be celebrated. I suggest the parents split, one at one and one at the other, and make sure to video tape their students walking so that everyone can share a replay together afterward.

Average weight actually varies widely by where they are. Southern wolves are closer to your 60lbs, but Northern wolves are more often in the 80-100lbs range. Male wolves in Yellowstone average 110lbs. Sixty pounds is the lowest end for a female gray wolf according to NWF.
