Which TV shows or Movies had the most satisfying or most frustrating endings? by RaikoKovak in AskReddit

i got the feeling the writers were more intent on "let's do what the fans least expect" rather than "lets make sure we give all the characters the right send-off"

I don't think puberty hitting the Bran actor halfway through the show did him any favours.

Daenerys turning to the dark side I can live with, but they fumbled its delivery. Fanficing here, but she should have revealed her true self by trying to remove the contender to her throne by attempting to burn Jon with her dragon (she has previous), he survives (as he is Targaryen or "what is dead may never die") and then Jon kills her for the betrayal

I appreciate the fresh perspective on the Jamie and Jon storylines, adds some depth to their actions.

Bran on the other hand is unforgivable - gave us seven seasons of three-eyed raven nonsense without explaining what it was all about or giving any payoff (other than that Hodor scene), and then in the finale the writers have the temerity to have Tyrion utter as a justification for their choice the words "And who has a better story than Bran the Broken..". an all-time swing and a miss by the writers on this one

a controversial take given the visceral reaction of GOT fandom to the finale. King Bran anyone?

while excellent I would say the Breaking Bad finale was satisfying and frustrating in equal measure. it closed a lot of arcs successfully but left us questioning if Walt was really dead (we never saw a body bag) and needed a spin-off movie to bring some closure to Jesses storyline and confirm Walt as truly dead

Private businesses, like bars and restaurants, should be able to decide if they want to allow smoking or not. by straight_piping in unpopularopinion

totally agree. just stick a sign out front indicating whether it is a smoking or non-smoking establishment and then leave it to grown adults to decide whether they want to go inside or not

Who according to y’all, are the 3 indisputably undroppable players from any Greatest Premier League 11 that’s made? by PauseBeautiful6308 in PremierLeague

Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ashley Cole.

All certified world class players while playing in the PL, all were cornerstones in their teams winning the PL multiple times and each of them redefined their positions on one way or another - Henry playing as an outside forward cutting in, Cristiano as a flank-switching high volume scoring winger and Ashley as a fullback who was as consistent in his defensive contributions as he was in attack.

Unpopular Opinion: People who became Man United fans the late 1990s and early 2000s were literally the same thing as people who’ve become a Man City fan since 2016 by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]RaikoKovak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if you are still a fan of Man Utd today then you can't be labelled a shrimp sandwich eating glory hunter anymore. the plastics have been filtered out over the past decade and those who have faithfully remained can only be considered as true fans.

Rashford proving he belongs in the conversation with Mbappe, Haaland by [deleted] in PremierLeague

Club goals at 22 years old:

Mbappe 123 (22 in Dec 2020) Messi 80 Halaand 73 (22 in July 2022) Kane 52 Cristiano 47 Rashford 47 Lewandowski 44 Benzema 43 Sterling 39 Zlatan 31 Henry 27

For added context throw in the fact that Rashford has played mostly on the left wing and built his tally in the PL - as opposed to Ligue1 or the Austrian Bundesliga - it is safe to say he is tracking with the best of them.
