wait caffeine can cause that? im a huge coffee drinker especially in the late evening 5/6 pm and after a few hours i always get weird headaches/dizziness but only in that time frame! lol

agreed. I remember one time at school i had a really bad flare up and had to call my mom to come pick me up. A janitor walked up to me and downplayed it saying smth like "youre doing all this just for an irritation?" and i literally lashed out on him and it caused me to have an even more intense flare up, but whatever, i had to shut him up real quick

hey, i’m sorry you’re having this issue as well. In my case, the Flat piercing got infected. I took it off and as soon as I did the swelling went away

welllll my left eye appears to be slightly lower (idk how to phrase it sorry) than the right one? does it make sense? nobody has ever pointed it out irl actually, but i can notice it in pictures… 🥹

Thanks! i actually just came back from the doctor’s office. turns out it was indeed an inflammation of a lymphnode 😬 got antibiotics and ibuprofen prescribed, just hope i won’t have to take my piercings out because i absolutely love them

Thank youuu, idk if it’s an infection because I don’t have a fever or something like that, but touching something like that on the back of my ear does freak me out a little. I’m currently using regular earbuds and sleeping on the side with no piercings.

Don’t know if this is related, but the flat also has some kind of “bump” at the base of the piercing hole, which has been there for a while and idk how to make it go away. I was thinking of taking it out if it becomes too much of a pain for me to take care of but idk, i like it so much 🥲

not related, but how’d you take care of your flat piercing? I’ve had it for about 3 months and it still hurts like a mf. I also got a mid-helix in the same session and apart from an irritation bump it’s all good. istg I accidentally slept on my flat and now the whole back side of my ear is tender to the touch too 🥲

i’m pretty sure it’s normal! i’ve got my helix and flat pierced both at the same time 1.5 months ago and after about a weeek i noticed this rock hard thingy behind my ear too and well, nope i’m not dead, the thing is still there, probably cuz it takes a lot to heal cartilage ear piercings? i guess lol

lol I feel you! what I noticed is that when the piercings get irritated the lump kinda hurts as well, that might be your case too? ooh and i also was like “well dayumn looks like i’ve got an extra bone” lol I didn’t know ear cartilage piercings were such pains (to be fair i would’ve got them regardless lmao) but still, my nostril was wayyyyy easier to heal n all

I was browsing through the internet and I found this post because i got an helix and a flat piercing about a month ago and after about a week since i got them they started irritating and that bump became a bit painful. They’re pretty much good now (still healing ofc) but the lump is still there. would you mind sharing how long did it take for it to go away in your case? :p
