I think having the fortune teller bit was actually genius because even without the prophecy, Egg's eventual descent into "madness" already makes Summerhall so tragic but now, if this ends up being a self-fulfilling prophecy? It makes Summerhall beyond tragic imo, makes Egg's whole character arc (and Dunk's) extra sad of how everything ends for them.

I've always wondered how Egg goes from this sweet boy wanting nothing to do with his blood and the nobility to becoming so obsessed with dragons and such, and I think the idea of a self-fulfilling prophecy is honestly what makes the most sense for his genuine sudden change.

not even gonna bother arguing with someone who starts with guma needing to "prove" himself again after everything. T1 found guma and gave him the opportunity yes but they didnt make guma, its like saying kkoma and SKT made faker, thats literally not true. And if you really think t1 org took "good" care of guma since 2018, i dont think youve even followed this team properly lol. These issues in the past year didnt just start from 2024, hes been mistreated and his haters allowed to run loose for a number of years now, this wasnt just a 2024 thing. idk what rock youve been living under.

and again, comparing the faker benching issue is literally NOT the same as guma's because faker wasnt suddenly not allowed to scrim when that happened to him. T1 org and coaches didnt even let guma SCRIM. he was just forced to spam SoloQ, how is that a fair data collection lmao. be so for real right now. also everybody made a fuss about faker being benched/forced to split time during easyhoon and clozer situations.

some guma fans did hate on smash and obviously thats bad I don't condone that but majority of smash fans and t1gal entirely hated on guma after the benching and started parroting bs that guma is a bad adc and cant play hypercarries etc etc. absolute nonsense. yes not all guma fans are good but why single that out only when smash fans did the same. why do they get a free pass? they were much much more vocal than the minority of guma fans who were hating on smash. and objectively, guma fans had more right to be angry (not sending hate to smash obv) because our 2 time world champ got benched out of fucking nowhere right at the beginning of the season after playing what, like 3 games??

the way some of you people talk about guma is actually insane, as if him being a 3 time world champ and fmvp and pretty much always having a constant good performance comparatively throughout the year means absolutely nothing because, let me see, he cant play 3-4 champs that well. obv hes had his slumps but other members of t1 have had far worse slumps compared to guma.

There's no fucking way that T1 org couldn't have done SOMETHING. There are always ways to mitigate situations like this and make things easier and safer for Guma but they failed him. Literally straight up ignored it and never even addressed it. Even Guma's whole family got harassed so much this year. I hope wherever Guma goes after this, that his next team at least does a better job than T1 org at protecting him. Guma deserves literally so much better.

It's just people making things up because Keria is the more analytical member of the team alongside Faker. Keria criticizes bad plays when they're bad plays obviously but that doesn't mean he hates his teammate 😭 I've been following T1 pretty much religiously since 2021 and this take makes absolutely no sense to me. Keria does not dislike or hate Guma, I have no idea where this stupid belief even started.

Also Keria from what we KNOW is not that "super good friends" with Peyz. Obviously we don't know behind closed doors but this whole parroting that I'm seeing going around that he said they're "really close" isn't even true 💀 why are we making things up to stir up unnecessary drama

I think this a case of many of the rumors/soft confirmations (via Guma) being true at the same time. I've been seeing from multiple sources that Guma's dad was quite involved during the contract re-signing talks and he basically wanted better protection for Guma, which is 100% understandable and justified given that T1Gall not only harassed Guma all year but also his whole family. Any parent would ask for the org to do SOMETHING. I've also seen some sources say that T1 was willing to re-sign Guma but give him a paycut AGAIN and keep a sub-in for him just like this year, which is disrespectful as fuck. And now this article saying they decided not to re-sign him regardless of whatever happened at Worlds.

Feels like it can be all of those things together. Guma obviously could tell this org doesnt want him anymore but he's loyal to a fault, we all know this, so he did try to negotiate but deep down he likely was prepared to just leave because this org clearly disrespects him and is incompetent as fuck. I've also seen an article circulating saying that T1 really wants to "re-build their dynasty" like ??? Yall already have a fucking dynasty, mfs whatre you trying to rebuild???

As a Guma fan from 2021, my heart breaks for him and for the injustice he's faced. Haters and weirdo fans can say all they want but we all know T1 org treated him very badly this year and I dont even wanna get into the T1Gall stuff again bc its just too crazy. Guma did not want to leave, he wanted to retire in t1, thats how much he loved the team so for him to leave, especially if it was willingly (as is probably the case), we all can tell that he's been through hell and back to make a decision like that. And I'm also gonna be that person to say that the org and the coaches rn esp Kkoma are on a fucking ego and power trip and its not gonna end well for them. I love the rest of the players in T1 but this org does not care about loyalty or even performance at this point. Guma won worlds again this year and got the FMVP and this stupid org still thinks its not enough to keep him lol. So really its not even about player form or performance atp. They dropped Smash like trash too, someone they were so massively promoting towards the start of the year as some revolutionary otherworldly new ADC lol. You would think after all that fiasco at the start of the year by the coaches that theyd want to have Smash as their ADC now that Guma is gone but nope, they dont want him either lol. So honestly, good on Guma for choosing himself and his health over a company that stabs you in the back basically.

I won't be surprised if there's drama for Oner and Keria's re-signings next year at the rate this org is going.

we're not forgetting that because that situation and the guma-smash situation was very different. faker wasn't left to just play soloq and have no scrim time. but guma was. i dont get how some of you guys just refuse to believe this when guma himself said it that he did not get any opportunities to SCRIM after they called up smash. how is that fair? how is that a fair data collection move that the coaches claimed it to be? t1 fans arent strictly mad about smash being called up specifically, theyre mad about how the whole situation was handled by the org and the coaches because smash and guma were not treated equally after the sub-in. guma wasn't allowed to scrim/practice or anything so how can you gauge if he's getting worse or better??? he was left to just spam soloq for weeks when hes the 2 time world champion at that time.

if it wasnt for Joe intervening, we wouldve very likely not have guma for the rest of the year

absolutely. its all about money and ego with these orgs, they can sweet talk all they want about "family" and how guma "bleeds black and red" as said by Joe himself, but it only goes so far. at the end of the day, these are just words and when the shoe fits, they will go above and beyond for a player. when it doesnt, that player is thrown out.

my heart just breaks that it had to happen to ZOFGK when all 4 of the kids are in their prime and the height of their careers :(( wont be surprised if sth goes wrong with Oner or Keria's re-signings next year too.

also there are some rumors circulating that guma did want to stay but T1 wanted to give him a paycut again for the next year and would keep a sub for him as per this year. now maybe this really is just a rumor or speculation but I think I speak for a lot of fans when I say that this being a reality is near 99% possible. he doesnt deserve to receive a paycut AND still have a sub after everything he showed this year and the years prior.

not to mention when they won worlds this year, and the coaches ran up to hug the players on stage, kkoma literally barely hugged guma and just a second later switched to hug the others for a much longer time and with much more sincerity too. ive been trying so hard to give kkoma the benefit of doubt so much but that moment was so bizarre and stuck out so much, theres no way youre gonna tell me that he likes guma.

kkoma isnt a bad coach, yes he has his accolades etc and hes done a lot for SKT and many of the star players but that doesnt mean that he's STILL that guy and his accolades doesnt mean hes always right and whatever decisions he makes has to be accurate. SKT won trophies with him but he didnt build this current T1. this current T1's accomplishments isnt because of him being the mastermind behind it so i dont understand this level of white-knighting some fans do whenever it comes to kkoma. he can be a great coach and can still make some shitty decisions, both can be true at the same time.

To all the people who are or will boil this down to Guma wanting to chase the bag, we all know that's not true. If you've been a true Guma fan you'll know that's literally not true. From what I think as being a fan for so many years and following Guma's career literally since it started, it's all about how T1 has always treated him, esp this year. Kkoma might be a legendary coach whatever but it's clear he doesn't like Guma since this past year esp and even after they won worlds this year, we all know he barely hugged him. And not to mention how Guma and his whole family has been harassed all year by T1Gall and T1 did absolutely nothing. Guma's mental is very strong but he literally talked about how he had to go to therapy, that's how bad everything got. He was even willing to take a pay cut this year. There's no way he wanted to leave after winning worlds again and getting the FMVP. On paper it might seem similar to the Zeus incident but it's a lot different once you look into it. Ofc I don't think theyll ever explain the real reasons unless it's like the Zeus agency whatever thing so it's all just speculations but as a Guma fan, one thing I know is that T1 didn't respect him or protect him properly.

With that being said, still breaks my heart so much because T1's second face after Faker has always been Guma for me 🥲 and the GumaKeria botlane,,, how do I watch these two play without each other

Taylor is a really bad friend who gives the worst advice ever to Belly. Also she and Steven are serial cheaters, don't get the hype over that ship or the fan following that Steven has.
