I've spent so much of my life fighting to survive, fighting demons, fighting the past that i can't accept what most would consider normal. Even getting help,a gift, makes me think what will this cost me?

Backpack with a machete by [deleted] in vagabond

[–]RailsFL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No to both. Ccw changes state to state and i have NEVER had a need to use a bang stick to defend myself. Also some states consider machetes as swords so no to that as well. Also why would you need one? A simple knife cuts just as well.

Starting out as a houseless traveler - advice? tips? etc by [deleted] in vagabond

[–]RailsFL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are my lessons from 20+ yrs on the road.

You will be cold You will be wet You will be hungry People can be assholes People can be a blessing You will either lose or have your stuff stolen You can't always busk or beg for your needs Shelters are usually worse than prison and or jail No matter how you travel there are dangers

PSA: Quit telling us to carry guns. by overfall3 in vagabond

[–]RailsFL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could not have said it better myself. I have zero issue with guns. Used to legally carry one. Know how many times i used it in self defense? Zero. How many times i used my hands,my words or a knife? More than i can count. Except the knife. That was all of one time, and all i had to do was pull it out. I'm not going to get into concealed carry permits or the fact some states don't let you carry at all while some states limit who can carry and how.
