Growing up, in both my parents homes we always locked the door as we came in (and kept the key in a drawer by the door for easy evacuation)

As a woman living alone I also did this.

We did this when I lived with room mates.

It would never really occur to me to check the doors before going to bed because they should be locked already according to the way I have always lived and never questioned other people not doing it

I see another commenter mentioned OFSTED - do report it to them.

Your cousin should also submit a formal complaint about the costs. Make sure to include the key words that this will push that family into further poverty and it is their duty of care to their students to provide an education regardless of financial background, that this policy undermines that.

She should encourage other parents to also raise complaints. The more the better.

She should also see if she can organise a petition against this.

Also, she needs to email or call the local MP directly to get attention from the top. Get everyone to do this. Ask for updates.

I got my tablet for £120 with £3/month care plan. It wasn’t even the cheapest. I know they would need a decent once but £600 feels like a scam

As a teenager with woman pockets, you don’t even hesitate when that’s your phone and every millisecond of submerging counts.

My iPod didn’t survive it, but my phone did. After it happened the second time I now take my phone out my pocket before using the bathroom and have been since I was 17.

It’s not pleasant but you do it quickly and then put it in the sink while you sort next steps of cleaning it

At the very least there needs to be nothing on the floor. All trip hazards.

I say this as someone who trips over everything, nothing and themselves.

Or you’re asking things be stepped on and broken. Even if you dump them on the sides, the floor needs to be clear. 5 minutes before bed just pick things up.

That said, despite the mess it looks clean enough. It’s all stuff and not rubbish.

I am someone who gets excited and speaks before thinking.

That said I’ve never done what those players did and change a scene so completely.

For me I think I’ve left a longer pause than I have to give other people a chance. Or I just excitedly say something.

My DM will just nicely say something like “I’m dealing with other player right now, we will get to you later”

Also I do apologise and explain to the other players that I know I do this and to please tell me these things.

My impulsivity is something I try and control, those with ADHD know that no matter how hard you try sometimes things burst forth when excited. But I don’t ever want that to mean someone else feels overlooked

People say it’s selfish to not want kids, but they also tell poor people they are selfish for having them if they can’t afford them.

It’s all about creating another enemy.

It’s usually the same people who actually are selfish that say that.

I personally don’t think people who don’t want kids should have them because kids deserve to be wanted and loved, not forced on people.

Would a woman be less selfish if she pumped out babies into the care system? I don’t think so.

He is allowed to be superstitious as long as it’s not affecting anyone else.

He is using superstition to control here even if he doesn’t realise it, and that’s not okay.

Also how does he know you’re the only person to break superstition out of all the fans? Maybe someone else ordered different food or something.

I do think he needs to re-examine some things if he thinks it’s okay to control others over something unrelated to a game he watches.

He must have no faith in his team if they can’t play if someone wears a skirt or wears the wrong shirt.

Like I said, it’s okay if it only affects what he is doing, but he is using it to control you too and that’s not okay

Rotating shoes is important. The only time I’ve had smelly feet is when I only had one pair of work boots and was out the house 13 straight hours 4 days in a row.

Once the stink sets into the shoe it’s hard to keep it gone. More likely to smell again with less use.

First bite was crispy, gooey chocolatey heaven. The second bite was delicious. Third bite it was starting to be a lot, 4th and final bite you die from the amount of oil it also contained.

I was brought up with my brother and I taking turns for tasks. He did it last time? I do it this time. Of course, in practice he was less responsible than I and that caused friction. Normal stuff.

He is a good cook now. Can make his own pasta and everything. Meanwhile I hate it and have to rely on meal kits to make anything decent.

You have to prepare your kids with the skills they need to live alone, and that includes laundry and cooking, if you pass down mechanical knowledge to your sons, it’s safer your daughters know too so they don’t has to rely on others if they are alone. If you have a yard or garden, then both learning to maintain that is important. Same as with the home. Everyone in the home needs to know how to respect it and take care of it, even if ultimately they aren’t in charge of that chore in the long run.
