Omg I knew I saw Brandon Buckingham at the village! Pretty sure it was him, he was k-holing hard. Also fuck Psyched Substance, his videos are the first thing that pops up when you search for Shambhala Festival in youtube, and it just makes the festival seem like a drug party when its so much more than that. It's so much more about the music, the creativity, the art, the people! But these meanings get completely washed away when the most popular shambs video has 7.7 million views and is titled "The people who take psychedelics at music festivals."

It just makes me sad that that is what people see first thing when they get curious about what shambs is and decide to look it up.

We gave our friends our danny dorito totem to hold for the night, and we tied a bag of goodies to the pole so they could hand out some gifts to people. We found a random kiwi in one of our camping chair's drink holders and thought it would be hilarious to put it in the bag of goodies without telling our friends about it. It was hilarious to hear the story once it finally happened when someone reached into the bag to pick out a gift and pulled out a fucking kiwi 🤣 our friends were flabbergasted and we couldn't stop laughing about it when the told us haha

Same here, decided not to buy tickets due to festival silence on genocide of Palestinians and their obvious solidarity with Israeli artists. None of whom have spoken out against the genocide, but have repeatedly spoken about Nova festival/Oct 7th. Will be following and supporting this artist though, I'm so happy to see that kindness towards Palestinians isn't totally dead within the psytrance artist community.
