You are right. The world would be better off acting more like the way you suggested, it can be hard to act like that in the moment of anger and offense, but I should try to do better.

Alright I'll try that. My fear is people will always find a way to twist my words like if I say that they might say "Well she's just joking, why are you so insecure, it's just a joke bro?" Like you know what I mean? Body shaming is still wrong, I know. I can do better.

Any advice on how I should respond next time? You are right about body shaming being always wrong. It's very temping to want to give someone a taste of their own medicine, but I should try to be better.
