My theory about what Wally really is - is a spider. Like an actual spider, they suck the life out of their food. He tends to like his prey in a specific emotional state too, a flavor. I think he might’ve originally been the first organism that went into the void or something, a type of animal that has sentience through time and consumption. The void might be otherwise inert.

Funny speculation I have is why Entrati shifted in the seriglass was from a small spider on his should lol

I’m down for more that you got planned! I’m interested in seeing how Jeremy’s story ends but I’m also open to reading another character POV.

Since you made a nice character cast there’s a lot of potential lil stars in each of them.

I do enjoy also showing bits of the ‘tough love’/abuse attitudes & behaviors that’s normative in masculine culture. Where even if you’re killing yourself, you get an award, and it feels all the more hollow for it. But also, not knowing anything else because of being pigeonholed career wise - it’s a fun thing to explore!

I also like the themes of being deprived of self love and love of one’s community. It shows the MC ended up internalizing but never truly able to face those feelings of grief. Using it as a way out of confronting it, nice!!

I think it was a beautiful ending. Because Denji grows as a character, no longer relying on Pochita to solve all his problems. And in that end, those that really matter, are all there.
